Started with 0 and 3, then added 4 and 5, month after needed another 3 and ordered 6 with it, and just now ordered no 7 and 8. Next one will be 0, 4 and 5 again. Counting from februari(shaved head with 12 mm left) started using olaplex in may, and now its end of november. Hi Adrienne, the dryer is not necessary and you can still do the treatment without it. However, if you'd like to use the dryer then I would not recommend using a bag and it's best to get a hooded dryer. You can get one on Amazon for inexpensive, something like this amzn.to/3PMn7Pl
      You have many options to choose from that will give you similar results.
      Also, yes you can use N8 with the dryer as well for a more intense deep conditioning treatment.

I have a quick question - if I color my hair, should I use the following order: color, 5, 0, 3, 5, 8, and then styling products? It all seems a bit confusing until you get it straight. I LOVE the Olaxplex line, but I was about to give up on 8 forever.

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Dena, you do not have to use N8 with N0 +3 but for the best possible repair at home, you can use them together and hopefully you will see better results this way. If you are coloring your hair in the salon, it is best to use Olaplex 1&2 during your service. Otherwise, you can benefit from doing the 0+3 at home treatment before coloring your hair to help maintain the integrity of your hair. Also, you do not need to use the conditioner (N5) before the mask(N8). After shampoo(N4), use either N5 or N8 depending on how much moisture your hair needs at the moment. After color, I would recommend using the mask so your hair gets replenished. You can check out our "WHAT IS OLAPLEX?" video which can help you get a better understanding of how to use the products as I agree it is easy to get confused czcams.com/video/EbPVONwsp-M/video.html

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand  Před 3 lety

      Hi Christina, sorry for the late response- I think depending on your hair type, length, and needs you can try to use the mask instead of the conditioner and see how that works for you. Hair care routines are individualized and it won’t hurt to try and see what results you like more.
      You start by applying 0 (primer for 3) to dry hair pre-shampoo. You also have the option to apply 0 on damp hair. Olaplex does specify to apply it on clean hair so I would recommend to not apply it if your hair has not been washed as usual and may be oily etc. Apply 0 from roots to ends and comb through to ensure saturation of the product :)

    Is it ok to use only No.3 before shampoo and conditioner then use No.8 and rinse my hair.

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand  Před rokem

      Hi Mai, yes you can use only N3 on damp hair (apply from roots to ends) before you shampoo and leave it on for 10 minutes for maximum effects. You can use it 1-2x/wk for healthy hair or up to 3x/wk for very damaged hair. For an intense repair, it's best to use it with N0. Then rinse the hair, shampoo, and after on damp hair you can apply N8 for 10 minutes. You can use N8 weekly for the best results as an alternative to the conditioner. You can use the conditioner N5 for every other wash when you are not using N8. This routine (N0+3+8) will give you a more intense repair and it will help to add moisture to your hair.

    When would you incorporate using a purple shampoo

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand  Před 2 lety

      Hey you can use Olaplex's purple shampoo 4P 2-3x/week or as often as needed to neutralize brassiness (the longer you treat the brighter the toning results) either after you do the N0+3 treatment at home or just when you shampoo your hair. You can also use it after their Stand Alone Treatment (N1+2). If you have a lot of product buildup then it is recommended to pre-wash your hair with N4 and then use 4P. Follow with N5 or the masks N8 vs 4-IN-1 if your hair needs extra hydration.
      You can also check out our tutorial video on their purple shampoo 4P :)

      @laurelharper2268 Před 3 lety

      Hi Kiara. I hope I can help you. If your hair is porous enough, steam can open the cuticle. In fact, there are hair steamers that will do this. But using hot water directly on the hair will not only leave the cuticle open & rough but will strip the hair of natural oils, dry it out & remove hair dye. The idea is use moist heat or create a condition with both heat and moisture. Or you might try wrapping your hair in a very warm, wet towel.

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand  Před 3 lety +5

      Hi Ileana! If you fully saturate your hair with the 0+3 and put a cap over it and use the dryer for a few minutes your hair should not dry out. Instead, the heat will open the hair cuticle and the product can penetrate deeper for maximum benefits to repair your hair and rebuild the broken hair bonds. Again, this step is optional and I even recommend you try to do it both ways (with and without the dryer) to see how your hair reacts and which result you like better. I would love to hear your feedback! I think your curls would be even more gorgeous with the extra nourishment! I love curly hair so much!
      As far as the large size 3, that’s a professional size they sell at beauty supply stores for stylists but if you google Olaplex 3 250ml you can find it online for purchase and technically it makes sense because it costs double $56 but you get 50ml extra of product.

      Hi 👋 Number 0 is actually the primer for Number 3- they are meant to be used together as shown in the video. If you have damaged hair, for the best repair it’s best to use Olaplex’s moisture mask preferably the new 4-IN-1 mask that just came out because it’s professional strength and more concentrated. If you are doing an Olaplex treatment it’s best to stick with their products to get the full benefits. Otherwise, I can’t really advise you against using a moisture mask that you like and want to use. Just don’t mix the mask with 0. Hope this helps!

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand  Před 3 lety +4

      Hi Sydney, first you will apply N°0 to dry hair, distributing evenly from root to tip.Work N°0 into small sections by squeezing the liquid into the hair to be fully absorbed as you go. Lightly saturate. Hair should be damp, not drenched. Let process for 10 minutes. DO NOT RINSE.
      Apply N°3 over hair with N°0 still applied. Comb through and process for at least another 10 minutes.
      (At this point, it is optional to use a dryer with the 0+3. This is what we demonstrate in the video. Olaplex does not specify this in their instructions) Then rinse, shampoo & condition. For best results, use N°4 Shampoo and N°5 Conditioner.
      Then apply the N°8 mask on clean, damp/towel dried hair for at least 10 minutes. At this point, you can go under the dryer again (which in my opinion enhances the effect of the mask). Then just rinse the mask off with water and style :)

      Thanks. I'm trying to find out what it does to the scalp.. does it cause hair loss, interfere with strand life cycle, or initiate follicle miniaturization? What is the reason WHY it shouldn't be applied on our scalps?

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand  Před 3 lety

      Hi Shelby, I do not believe the mask is necessarily contraindicated for the scalp. It works like a deep conditioner and provides the hair with extra moisture as well as repair from the active ingredient. I would advise you reach out to Olaplex support through their website chat option and ask them any detailed questions you may have. Hopefully they can address your concerns so that you don’t have any unanswered questions and feel good about taking the proper steps to manage your hair.

      @@EverythingHairBrand , I'm just adding this post to update any future readers that might be interested in the outcome.. I did directly ask team Olaplex and they said beginning the application on midlength to ends is recommended because that's usually where the most hair damage has occurred, thus the most opportunity for beneficial hair repair from this product.

      Hi Ranilisza, I think there may be some misunderstanding. In this video, we do not use number N°1.
      We showed the application process of N°0.
      I never recommended to use the entire Olaplex N°0 bottle during one treatment.
      Olaplex states the N°0 bottle should last 3-6 applications, based on hair length and density.
      I simply said we ended up using the entire bottle on my hair because that was what was needed to saturate my hair as we chose to do it on dry hair as per the bottle instructions.
      If you choose to apply the N°0 on hair that is not dry, the hair must be in a damp/towel dried state otherwise the product will be diluted and the results will not be as effective. *** Please note N°0 already contains less of the active ingredient and is less concentrated than N°1

I personally believe it is worth it because you are giving yourself a salon style treatment at home and improving the integrity of your hair. Mine arrived this morning in the mail & i had it on for about 10 hours throughout the day, after applying the No.0 & 3 last night and leaving it on overnight (I made sure that it stays wet by fully saturating with 0&3, braiding it & sleeping with my beanie on)... my hair was recently bleached a lot (I changed from copper ginger reddish to an ashy light blonde) aka it was fairly damaged, I am absolutely amazed by how my hair feels now, after air drying it. Olaplex literally safed my hair 😍😍😍 I can only highly recommend using the 0+3+8 as a trio, overnight should be no problem at all. I guess since I left the No.8 on today for 10 hours that's basically like leaving it on overnight ;)

      Hi Lena, I am so happy to hear that you took all of this time to give your hair what it needs and that the results were great! Olaplex is definitely life changing haha especially in your case with all of the bleaching and damage. You know your hair best and can assess it daily for what it needs and you can use the products as often as your hair requires. The goal is to customize a hair routine that works for you. 6+7 will also boost the benefits you receive from 8. I agree the 0+3+8 trio works amazingly!

      You don’t need to leave it overnight. The company states it deactivates after a certain period of time. I believe 45 minutes.

    • @EverythingHairBrand
      @EverythingHairBrand  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi yes for N°0 and N°3 the efficacy will diminish past 30-45 minutes or when the hair is dry - I mention this in the video. Olaplex is actively working in the hair as long as the hair remains moist. Therefore, you can still leave the products in longer and even sleep in them as people do report great results by doing this. Olaplex does state that as a company they do not recommend sleeping with the treatment as the product can get into your eyes. However, Olaplex is great in the sense that the products are versatile and people customize the product use to their own needs and it won’t cause harm to the hair. Finding what works for you or your client is the key.

If your hair is damaged and you are in need of more intense repair at home in between salon visits, then using the two products together will benefit you.
