They always have a few "extra lucky" bags. A couple of years ago, a few people received a beauty fridge. Last year a few people received a large Sonia G set of brushes that were valued over $200.00. Rachel's bag was more like the regular $150 bags that most people received.
I think I got extra lucky too!! I got a 215.00 Chikudo brush set. I also got a ND my dream palette, a Susanne Kaufman body butter, verb shine spray, a Wayne Goss lipstick, a mob blush, a Danessa myricks foil shadow and a surratt blush set. Also Charlotte Tilburg light magic cream. This was my first box worth 602.00. Oh forgot the good molecules serum and the organic scrunchies
I like Rachel's better! That Danessa Myricks palette is (from what I've heard and read) phenomenal. I also really like the look of the Natasha Denona highlighter you both got, and the Charlotte Tilbury pencils are awesome. Obviously with the Oribe, Katrina's has a higher value, but I prefer the items in Rachel's.

K- You did win the Beautylish lottery! Congrats. Rachel’s box was also very good, but yours was one of the very rare “extra lucky” boxes. I’ve watched several Beautylish unboxing videos and I haven’t seen anyone else receive the Oribe set.

On the Sonia G brushes, Kumano is the area of Japan they are made in. This is the traditional area where Fude brushes are handmade by master brush makers. They undergo years of training to learn the craft and mostly use uncut animal hair. Sonia’s brushes use mostly goat hair and some of the brushes have some synthetic bristles mixed in. Other Fude brands that most people have heard of are Chikuhodo, Hakuhodo, and Koyudo. But the Kumano Fude label specifically shows that it is made in that area of Japan
Fun seeing what you both got. Rachel’s box was definitely better than another CZcamsr I saw who received only one palette that she already had in her XL box, and her other makeup was eyeliners/ mascaras etc. You both got some great brands!
Omg! I have watched so many Beautylish Lucky Bag XL unboxings! KATRINA I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN ANYONE GET YR PRODUCTS U HAVE RECEIVED! YOURS WAS TRULY A LUCKY BAG! For Rachel, a feel so bad. A few years ago I got my sister an Oribe Advent calendar from Beauty Habit on Clearance. The packaging was gorgeous. It was the only thing I gave my sister that yr, even marked down it was pricey. Some products were full size & some were travel. She loved it. The packaging on your Oribe is beautiful. I assume the Velem tells about the artwork. I loved the Dynessa Myricks palette Rachel got. Experiment w/ color Rachel! 🎉I love how the palette has lots of duo chrome finishes. Can't believe I missed out on this box, already put my name on the list for next yr! So I'm ready!

Katrina’s was defintely so much better. However, the pallet Rachel got I do believe is $125. It’s ridiculously expensive. I’m pretty sure Katrina got extra lucky.

The Viseart palette is rumored to have been put in the Lucky boxes because the packaging was wrong. Specifically the color shown on the outside doesn’t match the color that it actually is. They likely could not sell them so they added the affected palettes to the boxes
So fun to see your boxes and I love that you both received the ND highlighter! Both boxes were great but Katrina lucked out with the $100 Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Light and the $115 Oribe set. Rachel's Danessa Myricks Lightwork palette is priced at $125 compared to the Danessa Myricks $65 Groundwork pallette Katrina received. The lip products in both boxes were a miss, in my opinion.

Hi Rachel! I usually don't like hair oils, but that verb ghost oil is amazing. That palette is very colorful. Definitely step out of your comfort zone. Hi Katrina. Kudos to your box! Hello that Danessa Myricks palette is a everything palette if you look closely or read the box you'll see that they are cream and powder shades the large pans are the cream I believe it's meant for everything from contour to your eyebrows to eyeshadow!
That VISEART pallet is the right color others have opened it and looked into it.

Everyone’s palettes don’t match box like that even straight from viseart so no, wasn’t a mistake.
Verb has great hair care products for a reasonable price point. They have sales throughout the year and also has bundles.
Wow. What great Lucky bags you guys got. The Danessa Myricks palette that Rachael got is amazing. It is a $125.00 palette. I won that palette in Steph’s Beauty Stash giveaway and I absolutely love it. The colors and pigmentation is amazing. You guys hit the jackpot on these. Katrina did get some amazing things too, especially that last box. Way to go guys. Loved that ND highlighter. So gorgeous. ❤
I got the exact lucky bag as Katrina except I got the travel set of the Oribe which I’m not mad at I do prefer Rachael’s bag more I don’t like how mine was very hair/skin care heavy but I still don’t mind my bag 😊

You did hit the jackpot! Oribe set aside, I like how balanced your bag is with makeup and general beauty items. I much prefer makeup over hair products from these bags.
Put those scrunchies on your wrist while washing your face so water doesn’t run up your arms. Those scrunchies look dense enough to help repel water. That’s what I would use them for. Also I use the small scrunchies on towel dry hair to put my hair into two buns on top of my head to make nice soft curls in my hair. If you have oily or combination skin it helps to sleep with your hair away from your face. I usually put my hair in a loose bun, low ponytail, or a braid. You can even use the scrunchie on a scarf. They are very multi purpose.
I use scrunchies while washing my face to keep my arms dry as well. I tried the bun thing for curls but my hair absolutely refused to do it. LOL!
Both boxes were very lucky and worth much more than $150! Congrats!
I got the same box as Rachel but received a Wayne Goss lip pencil instead of the ND highlighter; it seems everybody that got this variation had the same as Rachels. Katrina, you got an extra lucky box! I've watched a ton of unboxings and have not seen anybody else get that Oribe gift box set (it sold for $115.00!!!) I did get a bottle of Oribe shampoo one year in my lucky box and loved it so much! Still, both boxes were very nice! 🤗

I have that same viseart palette. The packaging color is a mismatch. I think that’s why it’s in these boxes. I got mine in IPSY
I am glad I didn't get one this year, they have been kinda blah. But that Oribe set, the bomb you definitely got an extra lucky bag.

I’ve watched a few Beautylish XL unboxings. Everyone who received that Viseart palette has said the same thing. The outer neutral packaging does not match the purple & plums eyeshadow palette.
I agree, Katrina’s box was definitely most bougie I’ve seen. Definitely a lucky bag.
However, I would get most use of Rachael’s box and would be happy with. Not sure about the $150 price tag though, for either box.
Tbh it's like with the style of what y'all like it's seems like if you guys switched boxes it would work out perfectly just by the preference and you have like straight hair and Rachel has like brown kinky hair or whatever but yeah they were pretty nice.
I personally do not get excited about hair products, especially the ones you wash away with water regardless how fancy the brand is. I think the big value item here really is Danessa Myricks palette, especially the Lightwork V which costa over $100. But it is all about preferences in the end.

PERSONALLY I tried a sample of Oribes Gold lust shampoo and didn't, think it was for me but when you opened that shampoo and said fruity I wish I had that set Congradulations. I am not sure why Viseart used those colors on the box, but that is the correct palette.
The rms lippy product is rather translucent when you put it on so it's not as dark as you might think.
I can see where Rachel is coming from, but I have that Danessa Myricks palette she received and it’s one of the best I’ve ever used. Both bags are definitely big wins

RMS liplights are awesome and are buildable, not scary. I have rhapsody, and I am usually a balm girl.
I'll tell you I don't need another highlighter but I really really want that Natasha Denona highlighter I've been looking at it for a while now just waiting for her to have a good sale and I'll grab it I have a first time purchase discount coming so maybe I'll use that to get it. Natasha Denona is my favorite cosmetics company of all time!

Also would love if you had added up the value of each box... maybe put it in the description? Many of us look at all the box openings every year to see how lucky you got. I think the prices are on Beautylish...
I think you both got lucky. Other people didnt get one of those brands. And Katrina the Danessa Myricks pallett you got has a pomade on one side and shadow on the other side. You can actualy use it on ur whole face. I will buy it if you dont want it lol. And your sisters pallet is the lightworks pallett because those eyeshadows are duo chrome and made to get wet and its amazing. You both got a lucky bag. Oh and i thought the rms lip gloss was about the same color as what you both were wearing. Congrats girls.
The Danessa Myricks palette Rachel got is $125.00. I actually believe the dollar value of her box is higher than Katrina's box. However, I think it really matters the value to you, not the cost. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Oribe Alchemy line. I tried it and thought it had a weird, moldy smell. Maybe the fermented bamboo? I dunno, the honeysuckle didn't mask the smell enough. Throughout the day, I kept smelling something sour in my hair. I gave it to my sister and she liked it so personal taste, I guess. Neither of these were the "extra lucky" bags. The XL lucky bags this year contained a complete set of Sonja G brushes and the value of the bags was over $500.00.

I’ve noticed in a bunch of other videos that the outside of the viseart palette doesn’t match the actual colors of the palette so I think you got the correct one but something is totally off with their marketing and pictures..
Rachel's box was really good, It's sad that she had to compare it to the LUCKY LUCKY bag. Because that Danessa Myrick's palette is $125, plus Charlotte Tilbury, Natasha Denona, and Viseart!! That is a Fabulous bag. Try not to compare. It is a great bag!!
That bright red lipstick could be toned down with an opaque neutral gloss or dab in a neutral liquid lipstick. Think of the lippies that make you look dead or make the lower half of your face disappear. 😂
If I were Rachel I’d shower at your house so I could use that oribe shampoo & conditioner…I have always wanted to try that brand

I honestly like Rachel’s box better and would have been disappointed if I received Katrina’s box. Big $ value means nothing if you wouldn’t use the products, and I would rather have Rachel’s products. All of those Viseart palettes look like that BTW. I bought that palette and another one from the same collection when they first came out. I don’t know why Viseart let those boxes go out looking so strange, but the palette inside is good.
The difference is that your sister got a way more expensive eyeshadow palette.
The eyeshadow palette is an expensive one and it is cream and powder.

I’m tempted by the Beauty Lish, but what stops me every year from getting it, is the risk of getting J* and Wayne Goss products. Neither people I support for obvious reasons considering my skin colour.
You wouldn’t get Jeffree Star but definitely possible to get Wayne Goss.
what’s wrong with Wayne Goss? I have never heard anything bad about him but i’m newer to the makeup thing and watching beauty channels on here.
