    John my man I'm thankful for this vid. My dad wanted me to learn it because he was telling me that my grandma and grandpa used to dance to this song alot, and I could hear the sadness in his voice as he told me, and I made him a promise I would learn it.
    I'll be watching this video as my tutorial from now until I learn the song. Thanks again man, you're helping me greatly.

    This guy is the best teacher. I can't even really play and I have made so much progress in 2 days. Much easier than trying to read the notes. I never would have gotten the style.

    Oh my, I just discovered your piano instructions! I am so thrilled. I love country piano. Please do more of Floyd Cramer's renditions of songs, such as Faded Love, Have I Told you Lately that I love You? etc. And do you do any of Pig Robbins style? Or how about Del Wood or Moon Mullican? My mother could play a mean Honky Tonk piano, and she showed me a little. But she has sinced passed away, and as I get older I am getting back into the piano. I love country and Honky Tonk. Also, Jerry Lee Lewis and Mickey Gilley. Your style of teaching is so much easier to understand and learn from.

      Sounds good :) This one isn't easy, but on the fun meter, it's "Lots'a Fun" :) Helps to take it slowly & work hands separately first. Enough repetition that once you get a section - you got it. Plus it likes to go slow & easy :))

    I'm unfamiliar with changing letters in each cord u are playing. It's confusing. When u give and hit the key, but change it on the real keys. Could you just give the Exact letters to what cord u are playing. It would help us older folks a lot and not confusing. I'm sure it easy for you because u. Are an expert. Me a Dummy just fresh only playing 4 months . I really love your instructions . Thanks a million Ken Duff in VA I'm 80 yrs old Viet veterans. Father of 9 grown kids in VA 22405

    I always appreciate people taking the time to teach others and create videos like this. However, this is not played correctly. Some parts are correct, but that right hand isn't right. That is not how Floyd Cramer plays his "slip note" style.

    • @psmithphil
      @psmithphil Před 7 lety +2

      I think it's different because of copyright stuff. If they play it exactly, then fees and the lawyers froth and drool to shake people down for money. This is for sure worth it to me to learn.

    • @Extreme11
      @Extreme11 Před 5 lety

      That’s not how copyright works. You can’t get just get a copyright strike because you played a tune of a song with the exact instrument it used.

      Just watched my cover video - looks like I skipped a couple of lines from the letter notes when I edited it. czcams.com/video/g-05o1L1E6E/video.html Take it in sections - work the RH until it is working pretty well, then the LH. Then put them together slowly. You may want to start with those low 10ths ... LH: deFEDC - RH: fgAGFE -

    • @LetterNotePlayer
      @LetterNotePlayer  Před 3 lety

      This is a challenging song. Two other things will help; the RH has to jump back and forth between octaves - master that and it will come together. Also the melody has the little note--crushes (i.e. C fgA ...) once you get those little crushes to work it'll come together. One final ite is the LH has to move into the octave below C after the G A B C pick up ... then it goes back down into the lower octave after that. You can use my cover video to play each hand separately along with video while using the Letter Notes (just know that I skipped a couple of lines while editing that video - just noticed that yesterday).
