It's not a nice work. You should replace the adhesives with original sets. This phone is not water resistant anymore. And I think you broke the NFC antenna as well.
hi.from where did you uy the battery?because I bought 2: one from aliexpress and the other from batteryupgrade and with none I solved nothing.the phone remain stuck on boot loop.and you are the only one from youtube that really change the battery.the others put back the old battery.thank you
Hi, it's very difficult to get the original battery replacement for all phone as the phone manufacturer does not sell the genuine part in the open free market. also, it depends on which country you searched for!! However, I did get it from eBay UK market!

I don't trust any of the cellphone repair shops so I've been thinking about replacing my mate 20 pro battery but afraid I am gonna mess something up.
Very sad about your feelings. Don't know why even you don't keep your trust in a single repair shop. However, give it a try patiently. remember the battery back cover is very fragile and easy to shuttered if you put much pressure on it. so be careful. and secondly, when you pull the battery out, do it firmly and don't get too far why you pull out the battery tab. Good luck.

how did you get the phone to boot up? I replaced battery with 3 different units and it is now stuck in boot loop. how do I write new battery serial number? or skip battery serial number check?
Sorry to hear that. It never did happen to me. Serial number restoration is not that important for this model. Make sure your replacement battery from the good manufacturer.
@@thepcphone the battery is original replacement huawei battery was your battery full at the time of replacment?? Or did you use software to write new battery serial number??

Hi. I hope i can help as i spend plenty of time sorting this out. First of all, change the battery - check new battery voltage if possible to be sure that you have working battery in good condition (it should be at least 3v between corner left and right gold contact pin on the battery plug, they are 2 thicker gold connectors, don't short the battery as you will fry it and it can be dangerous ). IMPORTANT DONT TURN YOUR PHONE ON! Connect phone to the genuine FAST CHARGER and simply wait, even couple of hours! It will eventually quit boot loop mode itself. If that does not help try hard reset (hold volume up and with power button until logo came up then release power button only, in menu press wipe or factory reset). Hopefully you will sort it out. If i helped out, buy me water bottle hahaha.

Hi, I had the same issue that the phone did not accept the new battery. Luckily I found a workaround in a German newsgroup: 1) Boot up the device using the original Battery 2) connect an USB charger to the mobile 3) Disconnect the original batery and connect the new one ( you have to be quite fast, if the phone shuts down during the change you have to go back to step 1) 4) charge the phone for about 10 minutes and check if the batteryindicator moves up. 5) restart the phone and double check that the new battery is accepted. I’ve tested this method and it worked for me.

@lees thebest Oh my gosh! After I tried out every suggestion I found on the internet, this eventually worked for me too! But I put a spin on it. To reduce energy consumption and keep it alive during the switch, I unplugged the screen! Beforehand, my phone died the moment I took off the battery cable. But having the screen not attached, it worked. So happy.
By the way, the screen is the yellow/reddish cable that comes from underneath the battery and attaches below the lower-left camera. Having tried out the other methods suggested online, I must say that I also left my phone charging for some hours while it continuously rebooted, and I did a factory reset beforehand. But I don't think that was necessary
Guys! Need Help! Am getting Boot looped with my new battery. How do I avoid this and get back my old phone?..Am going to leave to charge on original Huawei charger for a few hours then will do hard reset if it is still Boot Looping as suggested on threads comment below. Thankyou kindly!
serial number is locked to the old battery requires chimera software and the "set battery serial number" feature to program old serial number to new battery
