Musical communication at its finest. Have to hear and see that one again. Thank you for uploading this and thank you so much Robben and the that amazing band of yours.
Always about the music--soulful and fresh whenever I have heard him -- his visits to the Kennelly keys in Seattle were always memorable and inspiring-- Thanks
The bassist and drummer are insane, here they seem so chill and not super showy but when they take solos they are so freaking amazing robben picked some great musicians to play with, I saw him at the BPC when I was at Berklee for guitar sessions, literally the best concert I've ever been to
Well, JR, GREAT GUITARISTS ONLY PLAY with GREAT or GREATER Bassists & Drummers. Period. Played with John Lennon, often in the Summer of 1980, Sean wanted me to teach him to be a Drummer. Could see the PAIN-HURT in John's eyes, so my reply was "Tell ya what, Sean... you learn Piano and Guitar from your Dad, first. If ya STILL wanna learn the Drums, after that, I'll be around for another 25-30 tears or so... never called me to ask again.
Man, the interaction between all the players in Robben's solo was an absolute model of excellent ensemble playing, IMO.
Love You Robben!!
Wonder ! Thanks for posting, Music City Roots .
Sublime telecaster tone & playing, excellent!
WHat a feelin this night !!!!!
