Actually has changed so many people's life. The same label that Harry is in, H1GHR MUSIC has GROOVYROOM. The GROOVYROOM duo were also very astonished and happy that Jay Park followed them and then they were scouted. I'm so happy that Jay really knows that some people really really deserve recognition :')

I read all pH-1's interviews before and tbh this is the best one. I have to say Eric Nam knows the life of Harry's before he moved to Korea debuting as a rapper better than other magazines or media, that's why this episode is more like two old friends grabbing a cup of coffee, talking about old days and new outlooks. btw Happy birthday pH-1!!
We must've watched two different interviews because Eric is as awkward as ever and had the order of events incorrect as well. I'd rather say they're acquaintances catching up rather than "old friends". They don't have chemistry. There's never really been a "best" video interview, in my opinion. I'd say K-poppin's from a few years ago is one of the most thorough, while Dumbfoundead's more recent one is one of the most fun. In between Keynotes' and 7interview's videos you see get to see into his mind when it comes to his creative process and I forgot who recorded it but the one he did during the filming of Perfect gave you an idea of what he thinks of the industry at that time. I'd say this is my least favourite as it wasn't guided properly (even Eric admits he's not very good at this). But I digress, to each his own. His personality still shines and that's what I came to see.

@@Unknown2Yoo I said ‘the best interview’ is based on pH-1’s interviews cus I seldom watch Eric’s. pH-1’s expressions or the way he talks are definitely more natural than the personal interviews he did before and I don’t think Eric is awkward in this interview from my perspective. Every interview has its own topic. Some might go more deeper and some are more like chatting so it’s not really necessary to say which content is interesting or boring. And of course there’s never been a ‘best’ one lol no matter the interviews, things just go better and better. Just like you said, Dumbfoundead’s recent one is better than this.
But I agree with you that they’re more like acquaintances than ‘old friends’ XD

thats something i love about jay; because he is so real and genuine about music, he also knows what to look out for so naturally he had his eyes on the prize and boy am i glad he did because harry is amazing

I feel like pH-1's style of mixing English and Korean is a great thing, not only because it's his way of expressing but because Korean music is dooooing great among international people!
This is the first time I’ve heard him talk in English and it just made me realize how nice and beautiful his voice is.
Also he seems so nice and down-to-earth and humble

THANK YOU. I thought I was the only one who did not see chemistry between the two of them. I knew they knew each other because they were both in competition that sent Eric to Korea to become of pop star, but Harry never gave to impression they were "close" to me.
Eric I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this interview. pH-1 music has been very comforting since I first started listening to him way back when. He never really does too many interviews where we can see him in (probs that homebody life) & when he does get a chance they don't have subs (which is okay) but just makes it hard. So watching this I felt like I got to see him in a natural cool chilled cube state & got to understand more about his music. I'm happy he sees intl support cuz I always want him to know he's got fans all over the world & now I'm hyped & ready for a tour.
Also on a side note to him, I'm super proud that you're doing more music you like Eric. I like your style & wish I could do more to support you so you could make more of your style music. I know it can be hard because like y'all said with labels you're an investment but if your music makes you happy then make it because I know people will see that talent in it & love it like we do. Just gotta take that chance. Also you're doing very well for yourself as a interviewer/podcast man. I enjoy your vids & I hope to see more because you really make everyone feel comfortable. god, im so proud of Eric Nam saying that raising a dog is like raising a child wich means that animals are not toys, RESPECT
I don't respect him for saying that because they aren't the same at all. People put their dogs down (ie have them killed) because they forget their house training and piss in the house. Do people do that they're kids? People will also put them down when they get sick and treatment is too expensive, do people do that with their kids? No. It's a dumb thing that people without kids say so they can feel like they aren't self absorbed and have some responsibility (they have a little bit but not much).

This is technically the first interview I’m watching of ph1, and wow his image is completely different from what I had in mind. I didn’t expect him to be so gentle and down to earth 🥺 Really love all the aomg/higher music artists, but this interview made me like ph1 even more

I recently saw harry on dumbfoundead's podcast and no shade or anything to the guy but being a fan of harry's from the very beginning it fell a bit flat for me because I felt like he wasn't really informed on a whole lot of things harry's been doing and asked some more or less unnecessary questions but this right here felt so much more real and just like two friends or fellow artists talking and exchanging good energy on the same level rather then a sunbae quizzing a junior about things he's not so familiar with anymore.
really looking forward to future episodes. been great work so far and I just wanted to say thank you, eric!

Just hearing ppl saying "His/her music is too Americanized" or "too koreanized" or anything like that. ITS JUST MUSIC. Yeah igi music in the States and in Korea can be of diff categories/genre, but besides the differences its still just music. Sad to hear that some ppl are just to demanding about music to be a certain way when music is art, that just flows like water and cannot be cut off by a knife.

Dang I’m 10 months late, but I’ve always admired pH-1 and his music but seeing this side and hearing him talk, respect to him and hearing his background story and him talk about his career is inspiring and touching. He seems humble and a soft and kind hearted man.

Wauw Ph1 is so down to earth. I can really relate to his previous struggles of feeling the pressure to do what he loves as a child of immigrant parents being one myself in Europe. Especially when he was talking about that thought in the back of your head: thinking you dissappointed your parents by not achieving what they wanted you to while they actually arent. But also wanting to achieve that ability to support yourself and your family succesfully. That part brought tears to my eyes honestly. Anyways, Harry is a super cool dude, also on stage he really performs amazingly and I wish him all the best, really hope he will achieve that ability to support his fam completely and satisfaction of what he achieved.

This is a very good convo. I discovered pH-1 through his Perfect single waaaaaay before he joined SMTM; thus i kinda surprised when he joined the show for the exact reason he mentioned on this interview (he said he's not competitive and he's not as 'aggresive' like the other rappers in the show). I really really like his music because the electro-chill vibe suits my style; been enjoying his Soundcloud acc and i'm so happy when he's finally released a full album. Also thanks Eric for asking all the right questions and making the conversation raw and interesting. I wish both of you all the great things ahead!
About the english lyrics, I think, it was firstly incorporated to create a familiarity between the diverse fans because let’s be honest, when you listen to full korean song, you only listen to the sound not lyrics unless you do extra effort of searching the lyrics and their meanings and most of the people do not bother with korean lyrics( for instance me). However, when you add some english words, you can get the gist or general idea of the song and makes me search the whole lyrics. That’s how much it means to me and I can’t say it applies to everybody. After Eric started trying his own taste of music, I immediately liked his songs, not saying his previous songs were not that good, especially when I found out there were full english original songs not covers in his album similarly, ph-1 does it too. The fact that he is not catering to one type of fans only, he is catering to the international fans( who speaks or understands english) and he didn’t let go of that part of his life. And Harry is also following the similar footsteps and that made me an immediate fans of both of them. I hope Eric can interview G. Soul someday. Lastly, to anybody who read this long of a rant, thank you for sparing your time.
