We love the Applewood Farmhouse restaurant and the Apple Barn. It is always on our must do list when we visit the area. So glad you gave it a good review. Your video made me wish that we were there. Thanks for taking us along.

We like the farmhouse restaurant better than the grill, the first restaurant. We also love going to their little place by the shop that has the fried apple pies. They are delicious and served with ice cream.

I go to the Apple Barn every fall for the regular mulling spices and apple cider. I fix it for our family Christmas every year . Yes, they need cornbread and rolls.
Ate there last week.. twice... one of my favorites. And our family always know they're getting apple butter for special occasions.

Another great video Karen and Mike! If y'all like Applewood, you've got to try Carver's Orchard & Applehouse Restaurant in Cosby (on Hwy 321). I know from past videos how much Karen loves chicken and dumplings and Carver's is second only to my mama's! We normally stay in Cosby when we visit and always wind up at Carver's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's got a great market and candy shop, as well.
It's on our 2021 todo list! Any place with good chicken and dumplings is on Karen's list period...haha. Happy New Year!!
One of our favorite places. The fritters are to die for. I wish I could operate the cider press they have there. I worked at a local Apple orchard and me and a co- worker made the cider. It was a fun experience.

That's a beautiful place. I remember eating at the restaurant there in the early to mid 2000's. I don't remember exactly what I ordered, but I do remember the apple fritters were delicious!! I went there with my mom and my grandma who has now passed on. So it was sentimental watching this video.

They had me at about Apple fritters with apple butter. Lol we’re traveling to this area in August-this place was recommended by my sister in law, and now I’m sold. That food looked so good!

We don't usually comment but I wanted to tell y'all that we love your videos. We are close friends with some of the East Tennessee vloggers around there and we visit the area quite often. We have a small family channel with lots of videos from the Pigeon Forge area. It's our goal to move there sooner than later. I believe we used to watch y'all a while back also but I thought the channel had a different name. Could that have been you? I think the name was something about a Pastor. Always have to buy 2 or 3 jars of the apple butter.....or at least enough to last until my next trip up. Man, that pot roast and chicken and dumplings looked good! 😉 Btw.....what's the difference in the menu between the 2 restaurants? 🤔
Our food is always really good! The Farmhouse where we ate has a limited menu and the Grill the larger place to eat has a much larger menu and is usually more crowded. You can look up. the menu's online for more info. Thanks so much for watching!

Ok it’s settled, going to bump our next trip up from next December to May and the first stop will be to get some of that chicken n dumplings!! I’m here eating a bowl of cereal for dinner while drooling over the pot roast, chicken n dumplings and sides then you drop the hammer by shopping for Apple Butter! Wife’s eyes lit up when she saw the peach butter. Oh by the way, you are right about the bread, simple piece of white bread and butter to go with the pot roast would have been the icing on the cake.

@@FridaysForever I would say dinner, I’ve never had breakfast at the Old Mill, also never have been to Apple Barn
Both are good country cooking in our opinion. The wait might be less at Apple barn. We’ve been to Apple barn the most so we would choose the old mill.

dont eat the Christmas dinner..... we went a few years ago and the food was not very fresh. Staff was over worked as well and was not sufficient.
