  • Are you looking to enhance the efficiency and lifespan of your aquarium's air pump system? In this video, I guide you through my journey of upgrading my air pump system to a more reliable, powerful, and future-proof setup, utilising an air ring to evenly distribute pressure and prevent back pressure wear and tear.
In this DIY tutorial, I explain why and how I transitioned from a Hailea diaphragm pump to a robust MEDO LA-45C linear piston pump. Discover how incorporating a pressure gauge and a bleed valve into an air ring system can give you greater control over operating pressure and safeguard against the detrimental effects of back pressure.

Step by step, I take you through the process, providing tips and insights from my own experience, including a brilliant top tip from Taylor at @SimplyBetta for installing the air line valves. Not only does this new setup drastically reduce the noise output, but it also makes the entire system more organized and easily adjustable.

This was really helpful. Thanks! I'll save this video for later to take notes. This looks like it should most definitely work in my fish room (garage). Cheers! ~Ron

Interesting I can see the advantages of a system like this, thanks for sharing!

Wonderful to see you back on CZcams , with video content like this I hope you are having a enough enjoyment in the process? Which just gave me an idea that I will see if you can consider down the road.... so depending on many variables and what I would consider 100% annoying editing gimmicks to be honest I don't know the 1st thing about creating a video , never had any desire but lately I have been watching with more than just enough interest to notice some different almost makes it as interesting as what I'm usually looking for Inspiring Aquascaping lol ... Nevertheless I can't understand why this one channel in particular, why they want to have the effects that to some people I think it's potentially going to cause a seizure . I am referring to the camera is normal and then it's all in and out , over and over and I assume that is something of a editing program feature ? So if you ever have a interest in making a video of you making a video from the technical stuff that is something that I have never seen before other than I think ZERO AQUA CH. might have but I fully understand if you haven't any interest. Good to hear that your having good things happen and I have no doubt you are more than deserving of everything great coming soon

Thank You just what i needed. How are the Transvestitis doing ?

  • @nunolopes7932

Hi. Nice video. What pressure is optimal in the system to avoid back pressure but keep some ar flowing??

  • @jonbuckley

Been thinking of doing this for months.
