Y'all... the way Elaine talked about her own Mac and cheese got me rolling. I am in literal tears,
1. you use onions in yours but you don't like onions in Mac and cheese... okay.
2. it taste like there is milk in the dish that is supposed to be vegan... but you made it... okay.
3. it taste like its been rushed and thrown toget - Elaine. wait a minute, this is YOUR DISH!
But if it tastes like cow's milk, but is made out of plant-matter, then isn't that a compliment to Elaine's cooking abilities? I thought the goal was to try to make vegan food taste as similar to omnivorous originals as closely/accurately as possible.

I just think the one that won was so lovely. Just humble and sweet and positive as she could be. I also loved the runner up. I could hang out with her.
I’m glad y’all have them try their own food because some of the other episodes I’ve seen feels like they low ball people to win. And then their food ends up being nasty. Judge your food just as harshly!!

@@brownskinbeauty. for a lot of vegan cheeses you gotta melt it low and slow it just requires some more patience or cook it on high until it's bubbling and then cook it low and slow if it's pretty difficult

I realized for vegan mac we gotta give up on the sprinkling on top - just melt the whole thing in the roux, pour it in the baking dish, and bake it as is. It gets all golden brown and bubbly like we want bc of the already melted cheese

I love when the blind testers aren't overly critical of others to make themselves look better.
I also love that we get a chef that isn't overly critical either! She has genuine passion for making her food the best she can. You can tell because she recognized her food IMMEDIATELY and started picking it apart to improve it later.
