Im so impressed!! When I built my cabin and firewood storage, I didn’t use any measuring tools, I just did what looked to be right and now nothing is straight there.

Unfortunately, beat up by the military and disabled now. But still walking, even if it is slow. You keep posting, I'll keep watching.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos, I wish I could do this I definitely have the skills but my back is shot and my neck and have suffered with chronic pain. You remind me of myself. So when I watch your videos I live through your work .

Actually been thinking about building a smaller scale version of one of these. Very cool! Hope to learn a lot from this video.
U have proved once again that anything is doable if u got the right tools. I concluded u are doing quite well to purchase these heavy equipment. What u do is nearly impossible for the average man that can’t afford your equipment and hand-tools. Then I forgot you used to own your own construction company, do u probably had a lot of those tools already. Good 4 u!

SHAWN & OUR CALI !!! This woodshed is big enough for you to live in !!! Enclose all Sides & put a Bear door on 1 of the big openings !!! Great for wood shed also !!! But it is big enough for sleeping in also!!! The other part for enclosing with a window also for venting !!! Or without that window the Bear door only half door like on the shed there when you first build it !!! Small fire burner would be great for heat in there also !!!

When I built my woodshed I made it big enough to hold 8 cord and room to chop the wood inside. Tall enough to swing an axe while under cover. I see a lot of these sheds built but never big enough. 😊

While my property didn't have that many roots to contend with, I found a sharpened, Gas Powered Ice Auger made some great post holes. You still needed a 'Clam Shell' digger to clean out the hole, but the soil was nice and loose by that point...I didn't know about Shou Sugi Ban at that point, I just melted a bucket of pitch on the BBQ and dipped the post ends in it. Fence is still up and solid almost twenty years later... Of course, 4x4" posts are not quite 'Logs', but I don't live in a forest!...🐕 Cali Tax!

I would never have guessed that this was a firewood shed that you were building at the "workshop". But as this is where you do your Maple sap reduction burning, I guess that it makes sense.

I have the same loader. You can’t beat Kioti lifting power for the price.
Beet juice is what farmers are putting in their rear tires on tractors for extra gripping and weight for picking up heavy loads when using front-end loaders. How do I know this ?This is what we used to use in our tractors it doesn't rot the rims out like calcium !
It’s definitely better but I haven’t found anywhere to get it in my area. Everyone here uses this or calcium.

That is one firewood storage shed! Very solid ! That sawmill will pay for itself in no time! LOVE the live edge siding!
Always loved splitting cherry, elm not so much. Cherry was just so satisfying, hit a round with the axe and two pieces went flying.
Not to sound like a Monday morning quarterback...but when I built my woodshed I didn't realize how annoying it is that the roof was about my height so when you load it with wood I was constantly bending down to get to the back. Fortunately I was able to dig out the bottom now I don't have that issue. I also hand split and it's real nice to stand upright after splitting and picking up pieces. Not sure if you can raise yours to make it easier on yourself?

Before you start splitting the wood to fill this new wood shed just try attaching a tire to the top of your splitting log. Sometimes the simplest ideas are actually the best. Don't scoff at the idea, give a try and prove me wrong.
He's actually addressed this in the past. He prefers the inefficiency, and range of movement he gets from having to regather the flung pieces
