Thank you so much for the video. I am debating between Secrets Maroma- Riviera Maya or EOB- Montego bay. Any mosquitoes issue at EOB? which room category would you recommend? How far can you walk into the beach water before you have to deal with some sea grass? I know your favorite is Secrets wild orchid. Do you recommend SWO over EOB for the food, beautiful turquoise beach water and service?.
They definitely have mosquitoes at EOB, but they do fog for them and try to kee them under control. The villas are amazing, but very very expensive, so with that being said, the Beach Houses are our favorite! There are some areas of the water where the sea grass is close, but others you can get out maybe 20 yards or so. Hmmm... SWO over EOB... they both have their positives and negatives, but l would say the food is better at EOB, the clear blue water is also EOB, but l think the service at SWO wins out.
Awesome Video! Quick Question. How strict are they with dress code? Im not a big fan of wearing slacks/dress pants on holiday and wondered if a nice pair of men Bermuda shorts was sufficient. Thank you!
Thank you! They are pretty strict on the dress code. The only restaurants that you can get away with Bermuda shorts is the Lobster House and Oregano. You can possibly get away with it at Magna if you sit outside (but don't quote me on that one).
Niiice! I am considering this resort for my wedding anniversary this summer. Are there any daytime or nighttime activities?
We higly recommend it! They have activities each day arouns the main pool, and there are different things each night as well.

Hi! Thanks for watching our stuff!! That's a tough question... We love both resorts. Akumal is a much larger resort, and they have a ton to offer. EOB is smaller, but being on a private peninsula is amazing. The beach at Akumal will be busier as it's a public beach (but you can swim with the turtles), and the beach at EOB will be very quiet. I will say that the vibe between Mexico and Jamaica are really the big differences. Jamaica is very laid back and works on island time, whereas Mexico feels a little busy, and the service reflects that. Both are very solid choices, so either one will be a great decision!
Would may be a good month to visit ? The water looks beautiful, is there a lot of seaweed ? Is it swimmable
Honestly, there really isn't a bad month to visit Jamaica! You can swim at EOB, but there is seagrass all around the resort, so you have to be careful. The seaweed is usually pretty minimal, and they do a good job of cleaning up what does show up.

Is this Montego Bay?
It is actually about 45 minutes East of Montego Bay, in Falmouth.
Stunning location but the hotel looks very quiet. I think that the quiet would drive me mad.
It's not as quiet as it may seem. The main pool has stuff going on all day, and they always have some kind of show/entertainment every night.
@@DNDMMedia that's good to know. Can u tell me about the beach? It looks like they have lots of sea grass under the surface rather than coral. Is there some good snorkelling there ?
We love the beach, it's a bit narrow but it's very relaxing. There is a lot of sea grass in the surrounding water as opposed to coral, but we have personally never snorkeled before, but there are a lot of people who do.
