It's not a safe place for bikes either... If you bin it in a corner you are going to slide into a barrier, bike tracks have long run-outs around turns, so you can slide without contacting a barrier, or at least scrub off a lot of momentum before you hit a barrier.
Here in the states we had a bumper sticker "start seeing motorcycles". The joke of the decade was putting responsibility on the cars to see the moron tailgating, swerving in traffic, or riding between lanes in traffic. 😅 People stopped using them thankfully.
It's a sort of main character syndrome. Every biker you're ever going to meet is by far the best biker to have ever existed (and perhaps to ever exist until the end of time). And since they are the main character of this parallel universe everybody else better pay attention to them, but they don't have to do it the other way around.
To be fair, a lot of car drivers do the same thing. Bikers in general tend to have better awareness because mistakes mean serious consequences. Unfortunately, many are also used to be faster than most vehicles on the street which doesn't translate so well to track environments. Win some, lose some. I'm guessing it's tougher for bikes to manage all the logistics of staying on the road, on edge while also glancing at their tiny mirrors. Everything happens so fast, including the appearance of faster vehicles. That was far from the worst displays of awareness I've seen on Misha's videos. Not great, not terrible.
