@@Hybrid9830 Maybe for you lol I enjoyed the narrator he had a nice deep voice that wasn’t annoying and was very insightful sometimes he would just state the obvious but that’s all he did wrong!

Netero is fricking insane, but when he first saw Pitou he did say that Pitou is stronger than he is. While that doesn't mean she'd necessarily win a fight against him because Netero's power is beyond reason, that does mean she dwarfs him in term of raw physical and nen power. Which shows since despite his insane attack, he was not able to inflict even the slightest damage on Pitou. Netero was never going to one-shot her.
She would have taken good amount of damage if he did the first hand or 99th hand to her tho but was not the goal here and she was in the air so not possible.

The estimation of aura amount is that Pitou has around 5 times as much aura as Netero does. Nothing he does can hurt her (at least not until he has hit them thousands of times) except for zero hand, that one would seriously fuck her up.

Netero doesn't need to use Zero Hand against Pitou. Pitou has absolutely zero way to get past the Guanyin Bodhisattva. Netero would eventually crush her without taking a single scratch. Netero's speed surpasses anyone in the show if you've carefully watched/read the story or done enough research, and it's not even 1 or 2 levels. The only reason Meruem could defeat Netero is that Meruem was way above in terms of both defense and stamina. Although it was Meruem's perception that made him defeat Netero in the end, it was only because Netero ended up getting exhausted. About Zero Hand though, if we talk about defeating Pitou yes, he could one-shot Pitou. Killing her? Maybe. But one thing is for sure, she would be at least half-dead and aura doesn't mean anything in this case.

Current Netero is very old and his strength has weakened a lot. At his peak, he was considered the strongest know human (with the exception of the those at the dark continent). At his current age, he said he would be considered only at the top5 within just the hunter association.
This episode and what's to follow has been used as a great example for years of how amazing Japanese Manga & Anime can be. While American Comics will go from scene to scene and keep everything going at a steady pace, Manga and anime will slow down scenes with the utmost detail and explanation. A scene only taking place for 10 seconds might go on for minutes at a time. The beauty behind every thought, every action, every movement, really draws attention to the detail and writing involved. The way a writer and artist can focus so heavily on a single scene, keeping the suspense at its peak while keeping everything entertaining without drawing it out in a boring or lazy way should never be taken lightly. It really is a work of art.
It’s honestly similar to what actually happens when you get into a high adrenaline situation. Time seems to slow down and all that exists is the moment at hand

Thing is, Netero could be significantly older. They have his perfect metamorphosis at age fifty, but then leave a very obsure window between when he had this change and when he came down from the mountain.

Netero has such a weird timeline/back story. It only gets weirder in the parts of the manga after the anime as far as I am concerned.
Seriously tho in his prime could Netero genocide an Ant nest King and all?
His nen didnt get any weaker. His body should be worn down a bit by age. If we used numbers at his prime he'd be a 100, at his oldest age he would be a 70. He'd probably attack faster which also means a bit harder. The fight with the king would've lastest longer but ended the same way. Maybe it would last long enough for youpi and pouf to show up.

That is my understanding.
Because that is my understanding; it means that the less life span one has left then the less Max Nen one has to work with.
I connected it to Life Span/Life force because of the whole contract thing... Kurapica being an outlyer not the example... spoiler reasons I can't explain better tho if you know how the arc ends then you should get the reference I am using as example.
So Netero years before would have years more of Nen to Max out with even if skill of use or refinement of energy is less.
You said 70 of 100 and my thoughts were more like 40 of 100. By that same scale I think King is currently (as of this vid) more like 75-90 maybe... but as low as 60.
We could both be wrong and that's why I like to speculate.
