1:01:01 Trap is literally something you'd expect to find on a Yu Gi Oh trap card. They are playing with wacky stuff over there.
Thankfully, it would be busted over here, too.
It's the equivalent of a Quick-Play Spell Card with a lingering effect, which is sheer insanity, especially when that effect is that you can't lose by reducing your life points to zero.
Mind, there is a card that has exactly that lingering effect: Relay Soul.
But it gives you a different alternate loss condition to compensate, which is fairly easily achievable for your opponent and stops you from doing most of the degenerate stuff you would otherwise be able to do with a free "Special summon anything from the hand".
As ridiculous as Yugioh is these days, alternate win conditions are always intentionally gimmicky and bad. Konami prefers that you win by reducing your opponent's life points to zero, and even the one card that stops that lets them win by running over your monster instead.
A card like the "Trap" card shown in the video would shut down one of the only two inherent win-conditions in the game, the other being Deck-out, which most decks aren't capable of pushing towards.
Strangely enough, if it WAS a yugioh card, the "Draw 1 card" would be a downside. Since it means you could negate it with Ash Blossom.
Also, being only usable during combat is an interesting balancing feature, since it means both players get a main phase 1 before it gets a chance to activate, so they can set up their boards.
The card would still be completely unacceptably busted, but...
It's not like you CAN'T deal with it in the average deck, if you just manage to get an omni-negate out on your first turn.

Gruul of the Past doesn't create one 1/1 saproling. It creates X 2/2 hexproof saprolings, where X is the number of creatures you control. Totally worth the work to tap it down.

I think dealing 62 blue creatures with flying means that you take a stack of 62 1/1 blue flying creature tokens and deal them out to all players like you would cards in uno. Start to your left and continue clockwise until you run out. So everyone gets the same amount.

First card could be fine if taken literally. ALL CREATURES. Not just opponent creatures. Also, this card is a creature, so it will also return to the owner's hand, and next time it's played will have summoning sickness again.

Awaken Golem would NOT give the bestowed creature indestructible but would still be indestructible as an aura. You could plop it on a red player's creature to hose them.
Actually, it would be a way to play the creature at lower cost. It'd be 2 colorless 1 white instead of 3 colorless 2 black, put it on a creature, sac the creature and the bestow creature would turn into a normal creature because the creature it was bestowed on dies. And as an enchantment, it does nothing. It has no enchant effect. Compare it to, say, Chromaticore that has the following rule:
Flying, first strike, vigilance, trample, lifelink
Enchanted creature gets +4/+4 and has flying, first strike, vigilance, trample, and lifelink.
So in this case, Awaken Golem would be an empty enchantment whose only purpose is to sneak into play once you sac your creature to get an indestructible 5/5

For the Steelshad Rider, the first ability doesn't say until eot, it just says "you may cast..." so it ignores timing requirements, but you have to cast it immediately, and you have to pay full cost for it.
And it doesn't need flash because it cast, not play.
Panglacial Wurm is a good example of this kind of mechanic.

For "Revenge of the Unsaged" it having X in the cost has at least 2 uses. It's a sink for extra Mana in a Yurlock deck so you don't mana burn yourself, and you can pay X to be an odd number to cast it around an opponent's Void Winnower, and it can actually use it to kill said Void Winnower.
Wow, AI card streams usually only last about 1 hour. This'll take some time to watch.

(1:06:09) There are multiple extra turn spells that exile themselves after you cast them, for example, and that would effectively give you access to infinite turns for free. Also, Delve exists, and so does Leveler. Yeah, let's just exile my entire library, and then play every spell in it for free!

I caved and have Premium, so it is like ad block across all my devices for CZcams.
But I would recommend either Brave or OperaGX for desktop use because the browsers have built in adblocks that work well, and if it's not enough, you can use any Chrome extension, aka ublock.
22:20 Biggest balancing factor, especially in Commander: Your opponents can tap their lands whenever they want, yeah? So if you put that thing out with the Blood Moon combo, your opponents can respond by tapping all their lands, not even spending the mana, and forcing you to draw your entire deck while theyr'e not (politicaly speaking, you're drawing for each player but they're drawing roughly 1/3 of what you draw)
If ceremonial Trancer was 3 mana to enter the battle field and 4 mana to activate its ability it would still be broken power level wise. (I formerly thought it would be fine. )

@Alecations but then it's a 7 mana repeatable board wipe with a warning. And if you don't have any removal before turn 4 there is a problem.

Imagine that in an onnath deck, bounce, remove, protection spell, everything draws cards, bounce everything, replay something, draw more cards.
It’s not about how good a creature on their own is, it’s about how good a creature is in a surrounding deck

Well, Bestow does technically work here, but it doesn't do much, although the Bestow cost is cheaper than its regular mana cost, so there's that. However, being indestructible might make this thing OP, and you can even recur it from the graveyard if it somehow winds up there, like by being discarded or milled. It does have that minor drawback if you're using noncreature burn, though. Maybe that makes it more fair.
(50:10) Um, actually... This card doesn't grant indestructible to the enchanted creature. It'll only be indestructible itself.
(51:01) In Scryfall, click on "Advanced" at the top, type "bestow" into the "Text" box, click "Search with these options" below, and bam! You'll get every card with "bestow" in its rules text just like that.
(51:59) Citanul Force: Fair, word salad, ship if we can figure out what rearheg does, and if it doesn't make your Brow Merfolk too OP.
(53:29) Gruul of the Past: Fair, ship. It's slightly more expensive than Privileged Position, but only protects your creatures, although it gives them a buff too. Getting the second ability to work at all would be tricky, but if you can enchant this thing with something like Malfunction to tap it and keep it from untapping, then you can start building an exponentially growing army of 2/2 hexproof Saprolings!

(55:12) Gixian Laboratory: Word salad, shred. I'd love to ship this for the lovers bit, but unfortunately, this card doesn't actually have you chose a color, so that does nothing.
(57:33) The Maid of Ancient Explosion: Word salad, shred. Aw, man... Yet another card with cool art that gets wasted on nonfunctional text. Maybe if it said something like: "At the beginning of your upkeep, destroy target permanent. It deals damage to you equal to its mana value." ...Oh, but it should be nonland permanent as well, or else you'll just be Stone Raining an opponent land for free every turn.
(58:45) Arriala, God of the Wool: Word salad, shred. Welp, plenty of problems here, including asking for you to summon a cleature.

When you let Ceremonial tracer pass I almost spit out my drink. If you have to cite pithing needle or “Dies to removal” to answer a two mana card it’s broken 😂
It has 1 hp, even the most shit tier removal or even ping deals with it, you sneeze and hes gone. And once again, no combat ability and does nothing on ETB.
@@Sam-yj6cy No this is kinda busted. Bounce all creatures is a 4 or 5 mana ability on an instant so tracer is very undercosted, plus that ability lets it dodge removal so now you need 2 removal spells to deal with it. Combine it with anything that gives hast and you have a 2 mana repeatable evacuation.
@@Sam-yj6cydies to removal is great in paper but not ecery deck runs removal, or not aways draw removal consistently, at least that how it goes in 1v1, I don't really care for commander at all.

Bestow grants the attack, toughness, and abilities of the creatures doing the bestowing. If the creature being bestowed dies the bestowing creature becomes a creature.
The lovers card probably is meant to work with Soulbound.

At least in the details of the rules when I checked the gatherer, it never specifies that the bestow rule provides the abilities of the creature. Which is why every creatures with bestow specifies exactly what it gives as an enchantment.
Still useful for getting the awaken golem into play at a cheaper cost.
@@highwindknight my mistake for reading the wiki. However, having said that in all the cases that I have seen the effect is to just grant the attack, toughness, and abilities. Which is why I didn't question the statement from the wiki.

1:29 Ceremonial Tracer is not okay. In 1v1, it requires an answer that would normally be directed to an actual threat, and in Commander as well as 1v1, as long as you can give this haste or have it survive until your next turn, it doesn’t even die to removal, because it bounces itself.
Gruul of the Past can also remained tapped through the untap phase if you manage to get a stun counter on it.
Savage Wastement is probably the strongest AI card you've ever shown that wasn't an explicit alt-win. Flashback? How about Yawgmoth's Will or Past in Flames (both go infinite with essentially any rituals)? How about Jhoira of the Ghitu? Omniscience for 2? Yes, please! I'm not sure if a card given Flashback by Snapcaster Mage keeps Flashback if it is exiled then sent back to the Graveyard by using Wastement.
Ceremonial Tracer is wild. White needs some crazy shit like that 🤣
Pentaval is literally Divine Intervention for 50 percent off unless you play like Pandemonium or Goblin Bombardement to have the infinite Pentavals deal lethal somehow
the Card should read something like "when Pentaval enters play, if it is not a token, create a token that's a copy of Pentaval. Whenever Pentaval attacks, copy it."
Steelshad Rider is so broken in multiples. One on the battlefield enables all in the graveyard to be able to be cast. Even worse with card like Notion Thief, Narset, and Orcish Bowmasters

@New Merfolk, Ya I'm building a new merfolk deck myself, it'll still include some of the Lorywn block stuff, cause they're just forever good, but a few of the new Merfolk stuff is making some easy infinites, as well as Flash Stifle/ Silence a permanent Merfolk is pretty sweet.

That Sliver Beast thing, would actually be a fairly decent card in niche builds. It's white discard, white has plenty of return from graveyard effects these days, (it's rare but white does have it), but no good way of putting things in there. 4 mana is kind over priced but it could be a way to cheat something into play, without having to play black. Maybe it would be easier to simply find an artifact to let you discard though.

Nah, cerramonial tracer is busted. Even ignoring “dies to removal” it can activate and bounce itself in response to removal. Then replay it. Creatures are useless and if you finally kill it than you’re behind tempo wise. And you could just stick it in an omnath deck and replace some of the boardwipes as just a “throw it in an etb deck for value” type deal where youre opponents lose their board and when you replay you get more triggers. Every few turns.
Even at 6 mana it’s an annoying card because it’s a boardwipe every other turn.

Awaken Golem's Bestow does NOTHING for the creature it is on, except put it on the board early, for 2 and 1 white. It's an enchantment that makes you take damage from your non-creature sources. BUT you can get this on the board early that way, then sacrifice the creature is on, and THEN it's a 5/5 indestructible for 3.
For real this could be a legit card.
I think the Sneaky Monk could be legit too. A super lord for all creatures, even the enemy ones is a unique up/downside. Plus giving theirs firebreathing can be downside unless they have no red, but just giving the opponent the same benefit makes it "fair enough" even if they can't necessarily take advantage of it at all.
Savage Wastement + Paradigm Shift is easy turn 1 win. Completely broken.

Steelshad Rider isn't likely to let you draw four cards because how likely are you to have a Mountain out and also be able to play 3GU to put it onto the field early in the game at all? And if not you, then if your opponent doesn't have Mountains either, it's just a 5 CMC 3/5. I think it's fine.
So you can deal damage to anything even something in the command zone i like that you can deal damage to and target the command zone creature
