I used to volunteer in the paleobotany department at the Burke. What happened to Bruce? Did he retire?
Bruce became Brianna . We had to sand her bone off. She's not taking it well . Not yet .
Fossil Preping should be called Fossil carving or Fossil sculpting, reclaiming, restoration, salvage. It makes more sense.
very interesting ,and very well done , by a very pretty lady. she,s a keeper ,
So happy she wore a mask I'm always worried I may get sick watching a video.
She almost passed out with that mask on.
This Video SERIOUSLY WOULD BE 1,000 % BETTER. Without a Damn MASK ON " Throw that Sucker Away Please '
The mask is ridiculous for a video.
It's not necessarily for Covid-19 but protection on inhaling bone dust and dirt whilst preparing. They are mandatory in Museums, I even use them at home on private work.
@@oldmate44 I have been to museums that had the people working behind windows and never saw them working with masks. No reason for her wear one during an interview like this.
@@oldmate44 a cloth mask porosity would not offer you protection from particulate matter coming off the matrix, you need REAL protection...that's just foolishness.
I've only just begun prepping fossils but the negative change I've gotten from all the dust inhalation and gases from chemicals is insane. Of course you'd want to wear a mask, even if Covid wasn't an issue
This would have been much better without the mask on. I can understand the circumstances in the world that require it, but it doesn't create issues on the sound track :(
It's not for Covid-19. It's mandatory so you don't inhale the bone dust and fine dirt & particles
Fossil prep is such a cool thing to do.
