What do you think about a rule for E vs W that gives a foul to competitors that scream at referees, or try to intimidate/bully the refs to influence the officiating. Maybe you can suggest to Engin to make the rule because the refs should not be disrupted or intimidated by the pullers. "JUST SAY GO" "KEEP IS ELBOW DOWN" ...why should devon or any puller be allowed to give orders or commands to pressure the referee. I believe its one of devons tactics to gain advantage before go in the set up. He even uses his wife and even child to yell commands to manipulate the refs. If devon wins let be a fairly won contest. I really dislike watching devon climbing, carving, false starting, etc before go especially when he probably would already have a really good chance to win in a fair grip. and devon pulling after "stop" is also shameful, the guy has no honor

John had been dominating for over 40 years in the sport of arm wrestling. That's insanely longer than Devon thus so far. Devon has had his own great achievements, but hasn't been so dominant until more recently, so he has a long way to go to match John's career. It must be said that John also has his own movie and was in a movie with Sylvester Stallone lol. Nonetheless, with his social media presence, Devon has been a huge part in the growth of arm wrestling, far greater than John. We also have Larry and Engin who equally stand on that pedestal with their amazing efforts in promoting the sport. All of them deserve goat status in that regard. There are no losers, only winners here 😁

voevoda might be the biggest balloon in AW history. His biggest achievement is beating a 198lbs John one time in 2004 while he himself was 260+. After that he "quit" the sport and avoided John at all costs.
2 years later in 2006 John was in 242 class and was destroying everybody. But the oh so great voevoda chose to pull pre-Kingsmove Michael Todd instead of facing John and having a real match to set the record straight. He then "quit" the sport once again. Only to come back and get smashed by Tim Bresnan.
Anybody who puts this guy even in top5 of the GOAT list, let alone #1, is delusional to say the least.

He's aged out of that position. When he pulls with Devon, Devon just toys with him now. John has not been in top form for quite some time. He has even said so himself.

GOAT is not a title that can be stripped away by losing a match. It is a cumulative honor that is unofficially bestowed upon a single man who defines what it means to be the greatest in your sport. What is meant by “the greatest” is defined by the people involved with the sport, including the loyal fans. I think by using this model when asking who the GOAT of arm wrestling is, the answer is quite clear.

It’s not who you beat, it’s what you’ve done consistently against all the top competition for years and decades. The issue is many fans are casual, they don’t know the history. The only one that comes close to even making an argument is Devon, but I would say Devon is the GOAT of this era, not the GOAT of all (John easily). John is the underdog in this matchup. He has experienced more wear and tear on his body, not to mention the long-term chronic shoulder issue he has dealt with over the years. His endurance is also not as good as it was in his younger days. Coming off four consecutive losses has greatly demotivated John. I want John to win, but I think Alexey will take this one...
At this point in his career, John can pick whoever he wants to face. He has nothing left to prove. John could lose every match until he's 90, and it wouldn't change his status. Longevity and legacy are what define him as the greatest of all time. The man truly deserves it.

Anyone who strongly disagrees that Brzenk's the goat should just hear the guys out. Especially after 4:30 talking about his smaller size and long record of pulling super heavyweights is a key point to understanding why. No one's saying he had equal power as 400lb Levan at his height last yr before injury or 275lb Larratt at his (super -pancake) best right now. It's an overall judgement about accomplishments of each puller's arm wrestling career. If you don't agree that's what G.O.A.T should mean then we agree to disagree lol
