  • A tutorial that demonstrates the SMS page, the air to ground gun and the manual bombing modes. LADD is not covered as, to my understanding, it isn't totally implemented in the current version of BMS.
    Chapters:
    0:00 - Introduction
    1:08 - SMS page
    8:28 - SMS Air to Ground Gun Page
    11:08 - CCRP (Continuously Computed Release Point) mode
    13:12 - CCIP (Continuously Computed Impact Point) mode
    15:22 - DTOS (Dive Toss) mode
    17:30 - DTOS mode using the JHMCS
    18:46 - MAN (Manual) mode
    21:00 - Final points

    If you're using manual mode, you can use the depression reticle and a bombing table to get better results.

    • @fisgasfighties
      @fisgasfighties  Před měsícem

      I'll have to look into that, how do I enable the depression reticle?

      @@fisgasfighties its on the right side, near the pylon power switches. labeled "DEPR RET" if I remember right. I forget how to/if you can set the depression though.
      I do a lot of manual bombing in the F-5 and Mirage F-1 in DCS. in DCS I can usually get within a target of about 20-30 meters.

      @@Munky332 ah I think I the switch you're referring to. I've always thought that was a legacy switch that didn't do anything, like the max engine one of whatever that one is called. But I'll give the depression reticle a try next time I'm testing stuff.

      @@fisgasfighties I just checked it, you can set the switch all the way forward, then use the DEPR wheel on the ICP to set your depression, then pull the switch to the mid position if you want to have the hud elements back.

      Cool, thanks for the information! I'm going to try it out today or tomorrow.

    What is the minimum safe altitude for a High Drag bomb?

    • @fisgasfighties
      @fisgasfighties  Před 2 měsíci

      That depends on the mode you're using to drop them, as well as your speed, the type of bomb itself (mark 82 or mark 84). Which bombs specifically are you referring to and what bombing mode are you planning on using?

      @@fisgasfighties Mk-82 AIR/SE and Mk-84 AIR. CCIP/CCRP, low level pass.

      @fisgasfighties  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@cayancesardeoliveira5708 For the Mark 84 on a level pass, either CCRP or CCIP, the minimum altitude would be 300 ft, even with the drag inducing device deploying and going as fast as you can, no slower than 550 kts. You can go down to 200 ft with the Mark 82, with the previously mentioned settings.
