The new violet background is the worst one in my opinion, I just don't like this color personally. Writing it just because you asked. Please make a pro/con comments to vote for this color. Note, that the violet background didn't spoil the video at all. Keep making good videos

I can't really say for certain. My guess is about 4-5 years.
If I could get a waterproof case for the pocket 3 i'd have gone for it, but for that reason i went for the action 4 and it can still be great for cinematic shots looking at your videos! Do you have any recommendations for ND filters ?
Yeah, that's understandable. I recommend Freewell ND filters, I've made a video about them on my channel.
Hi so i was considering this both cameras but i wanted to know if it would be worth buying the osmo pocket 3 since i already have a gimbal that i can use for the osmo action 4 (Crane M2S) would this help the stabilization and quality for cinematic videos? thanks! (I mainly want it for low light videos)

does action 4 have defocus effect on the foreground, (I mean with things closer to the minimum focus distance of the action 4) ?
Slightly. It's barely visible because the minimum focus distance is far, at 40cm, and the camera has a wide-angle field of view. The pocket 3 is much better for this as shown in the video.

I own the Pocket 3 and planning to wait for Action 5 since I don't really need action camera right now. The Action can be a good backup camera for the Pocket during bad weather conditions as you said and also it's a good choice for multicam footage

What lav mic can you recommend for action 4? For cycling videos on an ebike in the city or nature. Looking for a clear voice and some ambient souonds. Recording with two mics possible?
I use the Rode Lavalier II and it sounds really good, but the build quality is flimsy. Maybe you can take a look at the DJI Lav mic? I'm not sure how to connect two mics to a camera.. Maybe you can do it with a splitter?
like the robustness of my Action 3 but also heading for the Pocket 3 - but just waiting what an Action5 will bring and then decide - I need it for vlogging and cinematic shot -maybe 50/50

So when the battery fully goes on the pocket 3 it just gets thrown away? If so it’s a waste of money
That seems to be the case, but maybe someone will be able to replace it. If you can replace a battery on a modern phone, then I'm sure it's also possible with the Pocket 3.
So if we have to shoot music videos .. pocket 3 would be a better option or shall we go for cameras like canon or sony 6700 etc ?
For music videos a mirrorless camera would be a much better option.

Have you managed to minimize the problem of ugly baseball bat-shaped flares with Action 4? ND filter, polarizing filter?
I don't know about this issue. My Freewell ND filters work just fine.

I don’t know why nobody says about Action 4 that it has Narrow view at 1080.I film only like that and the picture looks natural.Standart is a bit distorted
Narrow mode in 2'7k too.
I think if you get a gimbal for the action 4 youd have the best of both worlds.

Imagine an Action 5 Pro with 1 inch sensor...
I don't think that this is a good idea because of the added depth of field. It'll make the minimum focus distance even further and I'm not sure if this is something you'd want on an action camera.

Just because it's an extra device doesn't mean it's worse. I actually prefer it this way. Also, the iPhone doesn't have a built-in gimbal, and it's double the price. I still use an old iPhone XR and I am more than satisfied with it. I don't feel like upgrading just because of the camera. If I'm spending $1000 on a phone for its camera features, I'd rather buy an actual camera for this price or even cheaper that will deliver much better results than an iPhone 15...

@@jaymills1720using your iPhone as your main recording device also means that you're constantly using its battery for filming, you have a mix of casual pictures/videos with "project" content (which makes organization harder), and you aren't able to use the phone part of your smartphone when filming.
