    "i just cut it here... i hope thats right" is Exactly what I was thinking hahaha Can Am didn't leave much room in there for you to work, especially with the rad relocate. Nice kit though, bike is looking mean !

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  Před 7 lety

      Thanks Maritimer! Very tight fit and a pain in the butt to get the prep work done but once you have it ready for the pipes, it's pretty straight forward! I might have to screw down the front of the console also, as the snorkels rock it loose in the rough stuff! That's about the only issue I've had with them so far! Into the depths we go! LOL! Thanks for watching!

      Rob Farrow I glued mine up so they rest on the rad cover. It helps them stay stable a lot! Can't take the rad cover off without the risers coming off but they don't budge at all. Also I'm gonna drill a hole through all three snorkels at the top fittings and bolt them together from the inside. ;) no more zip ties

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  Před 7 lety

      Yeah, these are away from the rad cover and you can take it off without taking the snorkels off but if you want to get the console off, you have to undo the 2 outside bands, remove the guage cluster and undo another band before pulling the whole works off! Bolting them together might work, although my top air intake doesn't rest that flat on the other pipes!

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  Před 7 lety

      Thanks Q! The XMR already has the air/cvt intakes and the cvt exhaust up to the console level. The Can Am snorkel stacks them leaving the bottom two pretty much at the level they are at already and only raises I believe the air intake to it's highest point! The aftermarket kit raises all the tubes 10" higher! Thanks for watching!

  • @FranksDIY
    @FranksDIY Před 7 lety

    I want to do that to my xmr but that looks like a lot of cutting. Rob were did you buy that kit and if you don't mind me asking how much. I've been pricing it out here to make my own kit but the only sell white or gray pvc here. I don't know how it will look painted and if it will last.

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  Před 7 lety

      There's a little cutting involved, you just have to take it slow and not cut too much! Very tight areas to be removing and fitting stuff but it is doable! I got the kit from snorkelyouratv.com and the kit was around $300cdn I believe! I was going to try and do a homemade version but got to looking at it and couldn't figure out how to run everthing and make it work, so I broke down and got the kit! There was another kit from Triangle that I really liked but they don't make a kit for the 2016, so I went with this one! Supposed to stand up to scratches well also, which I don't think paint would! Thanks for watching Frank and good luck with yours!

    , Do you recommend these warrior kits if I plan on hitting the odd mud/water hole ?

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  Před 4 lety +1

      A snorkel kit is an insurance for that whoops factor. I had so many issues with the SYA traditional kit but I've heard the "Warrior" kit might be better. I have since made my risers into a more warrior style and still had to come up with my own style bracing to ensure that they don't move around when riding rough terrain. The BRP kit looks great but I hear that only the air intake is raised and the CVT intake and exhaust are still in the original XMR positions, so I went with the aftermarket brand. I definitely do not recommend the Traditional SYA set. As for the Warrior set I have heard mixed reviews. I recommend doing some research into the different brands and then base your selection on that. Unless you do extremely deep water a lot risers may not be needed but they are a reassurance just in case. I know that probably didn't help you a lot but I can only go by my experience. Happy Trails Iman!

      Sway bar knocking? Common problem with these machines! Hope you get it fixed up and out riding again! Thanks for watching!

    • @mrtundranutz1
      @mrtundranutz1 Před 7 lety

      Sway bar bushing is my guess and getting worse . The guy at the parts counter took it for a ride out back where some bulldozer has been working . I told him to hammer it . He came back and he heard it loud and clear . The salesman came over and said that he's heard of that banging sound before and it's likely a bushing . We left the machine and called the next day , Friday . I don't know whether he took it for a ride or not but the mechanic declared that there is nothing wrong with it . I told the guy on the counter to take the mechanic out for a ride over the terrain where he heard it banging . I have no idea how myself , my wife , the guy on the counter and the sales guy can hear and know of the banging and yet the mechanic says there is nothing wrong .

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  Před 7 lety

    • @mrtundranutz1
      @mrtundranutz1 Před 7 lety

      When i purchased mine the promo was a 2 year warranty . Your name was mentioned and they know about the problem . What grinds me is that 4 of us know i have the problem including two of their employees but according to 1 mechanic there is no problem . My wife told them that we won't pick it up until it is fixed so i'll give them Monday and call Tuesday . If it isn't fixed on Tuesday i'll call the owner and depending upon what i hear from him i'll call CanAm . I just Googled this and everyone seems to know about it except their mechanic .

      The airbox it's self is already sealed, just had to add onto the intake hose...the airbox lid or opening I use to seal the gasket with white lithium grease, which works fine but now I have an aftermarket gasket that doesn't require grease. Thanks for watching!

      PVC comes in only grey and white up here, so you'd have to paint them and repaint them when they get scratched. These don't scratch apparently! Also, I had a look at where everything had to run and it looked like a nightmare, so I figured since someone spent the time to figure out what to cut and what to take out and where to run it, I would just buy the kit! The kit was around $300cdn or something like that...the Can-Am factory kit is a little more and doesn't run everything up higher, only the air intake is higher, whereas this kit put everything about 10" higher! Thanks for commenting and watching Bern!

    The kit is total junk. Constant wobble, unsnapping top cover, no way to reach fuse box without removing of all this sticking stuff. Finally, I was to replace the whole snorkel system (a lot of original piping were cut during the installation of this Snorkel your ATV kit) to restore factory set up with an addition of Can Am riser. Beware!
