Toploading collection packer from Schubert for final packaging of butter cups

The upstream flexible filling line enables a host of mixture ratios. Two cup types are fed to the TLM collecting packer on four single-type tracks. The possible mixture ratios range from 25/75 to 50/50 to a single-type package.
Facts & figures
- 167 rectangular cups per minute (containing 125 g or 250 g)
- Cup shapes: round, square and rectangular
- 12-count tray or 24-count folding tray
- Variable mixture ratios of types A and B
- Currently: from 25/75 to 50/50 to 100/0
- Space requirement: 8 x 3 m

Why are the products mixed? Wouldnt it be more efficient to spare money for the sorting device and handle it earlier? 😮

The customer has to deliver mono and mixed packs to the retailer. The TLM packaging machine can produce mono packs as well as mixed packs. See also www.schubert.group/de/case-studies/meggle.html
