      He was a very talented fighter no doubt, id say his biggest problem at Hewvayweight which sadly in the end led to him not being great or anything but just another part time heavyweight title holder instead of potentially being so much more, was his very long lay offs and his ridiculous notion to retire at 30-which he always said he'd do, the problem with that of course was they always come back, only instead of just not retiring at fricking 30 in your prime and instead maybe you know fighting as often as possible from age 30-36 or so facing as many top contenders/champs as possible- and make no mistake barring a random "lucky" so to speak ko shot Haye would have almost certainly defeated just about every single last cruiser weight and heavyweight on the planet how he was at say age 27-30 the only two whod for sure beat them-and one did- were obviously the amazing atg Klitchko bros, he was scheduled to face them both actually,but injuries and etc got in the way of the would have been Vitali epic match up- probably for best Haye likely puts on a solid decent competition before eventually getting brutally knocked out by Vitali, he did face Vlad and got embarrassed , but even that he could have and would have easily rebounded from, all he had to do was get right back to work fight 2-3 times a year the next 5 years face any top contenders he can-and hed have beaten all of them except the Klitchko bros, but that would be more then enough to become a hall of fame/all time great....instead he retired at 30 like he always said he would......then came back 2 years later- that's 2 years prime flushed down the toilet- destroyed Chisora in impressive fashion- at age 32 after no fights in 2 years he still had it was plenty elite still and a match for again anyone not named Klitchko...then whats he do after the random Chisora fight? fuckin re retires this time for 4 fricking years!....only to come back at age 36....when his eliteness was finally gone...beyond retarded and such a pitiful lame absurd waste of talent and time, such a damn waste and its all his dumb ass fault....either keep your promise and retire at 30 ....or come back when your still fricking prime and fresh and young at age 30-32...not ok this time not ju ta one off but im legit coming back full time....at age 36-37.....yeah not how it works there davey boy...such a waste man because he really was a great talented fighter and a joy to watch.All he had to do was not retire at 30, or at least when he came back 2 years later the first time at age 31-32 to wipe out Chisora, stay around fight full time again while hes still within prime age range have as many fights as you can against as many top guys at Heavyweight as ya can before you hit your late 30s, he coulda faced like another 10-14 heavyweights, many of them top 10 contenders, and hed have again damn sure beaten just about all of them, only the Klitchko bros oh and maybe Povetkin would have his number, but he coulda beaten all the rest and right now been an all time great/clear hall of famer and one of the best Heavyweights of the past 20 years...instead he literally skipped his prime years had one fight between the ages of 30-36.....then came back at age 36.....yeah....

      InformationIsTheEdge Great Boxer, Great Fighter, Terrible Champion. He is disrespectful, arrogant, smug and hyper critical of people who are actually in the ring backing up their claims. He just doesn't really give anything back. He entered a TV reality show during the prime of his career when he could've been working towards title matches. I don't hate him at all, but he is a toxic champion.

Thanks!

      InformationIsTheEdge No worries mate! I think perhaps his Arrogance might be a symptom of the Boxing promotion side of things, where we see unnecessary animosity and contempt towards opponents continuously just for the sake of good telly and increased PPV sales. I hope I'm wrong about his arrogance sincerely though. It could be disappointment about the wasted career manifesting itself in over analysis.

      Being deadly honest, haye is not the fighter everyone makes him out to be. Same one two everytime. Never beat a real champion, just that freak valuev. Who to be honest was only a boxer because of his size. Haye was so full of himself his entire carreer even tho he did jack shit really. Glad to see Tony drop him (not that I'm saying bellew is an amazing boxer) just I really believe people blow haye up to be a god. Simply cos he was the first UK heavyweight to do anything since lewis.

      @DonOneBryson Před 5 lety +3

      @Ben Lowe you've just named 3 bang average fighters who aren't even top 50 heavy weights of all time. Actually sit and watch his highlights, he'd be destroyed by Lewis, Tyson, spinks, bowe. Even on their bad days they'd ruin an in prime haye. He was an absolute hype job.

    • @DonOneBryson
      @DonOneBryson Před 5 lety +3

      @Ben Lowe you're insane my friend. Haye was no where near the boxer you think he was. He went 12 with vlad who at that point was going 12 rounds with everyone, he was in his jab and grab prime at that point. If haye was so elusive he could have easily used his feet and countered, be he didn't, because he was shite. Spinks would have ruined him, riddick bowe even. Fury, Joshua and wilder would beat him (and I hate wilder). He was a very basic boxer, he wasn't even as powerful as people make out. The proof of this is his fight with bellew. The last thing to die is power, he hit bellew square a few times in both fights and couldn't sleep him. Usyk managed it with a short one two.

The only time Haye got hit in that fight was when he was trying to hard to get Klitscho to fight. Haye you’ve been a phenomenal champion in two weight divisions one of them divisions you probably put yourself in the top 5 greatest cruiserweight of all time you then dared to be greater by stepping up to the big boy division at heavyweight and defeated a giant of a man to capture the most prized title in boxing the heavyweight championship of the world that In it’s self was just a added bonus you catapulted boxing back to the mainstream audience in Britain and were every bit of what a champion should be charismatic,funny,handsome and devastating in the ring, you’ve had your haters but anyone who’s actually met you or just followed you career knows your every bit of a genuine good decent man who wanted to break the mould of being a monotonous character something not even our own current heavyweight champ does now, thank you for the good nights David

  • @theshredder650

    Say what you will about David Haye, but he was a credible threat to Klitschko, something that hasn't been seen in a long time in a heavyweight division that's full of glorified truck drivers. I think he beats Vitali if they fought. If not for his toe injury, I think he beats Wlad. I hope he can comeback healthy from his shoulder issues. So much potential here.

    • @Colby_0-3_IRL_and_title_fights
      @Colby_0-3_IRL_and_title_fights Před 10 lety +4

      David Haye was the best heavyweight other than the Klitschkos after Lennox Lewis retired. Unfortunately I highly doubt that he could have ever beaten either of them. They are just too skilled, too physical and too big for him.

    • @theshredder650
      @theshredder650 Před 10 lety +1

      Alex Mallinson I respectfully disagree. I think he beats an old Vitali. I think that if he had been more active in his fight with Wlad, it would have been more competitive. He has shown that he can hit Wlad, and his defense in that fight was better than I expected. They are big, but there are flaws that can be exploited. And skilled? I will take nothing away from them, but Vitali is mechanical, always has been and Wlad doesn't exactly float like a butterfly. None of the current heavyweight crop could exploit them because that had all been glorified truck drivers as I said.

    • @Colby_0-3_IRL_and_title_fights
      @Colby_0-3_IRL_and_title_fights Před 10 lety +3

      Tony Stark 26 wins with 24 kos is an unbelievable record and especially for a guy coming from cruiserweight knocking out heavyweights. His speed and agility combined with his power and range are amazing. The video brings back the memories of watching his career unfold and how great he was. The problem is he was small for a modern heavyweight. That was probably the biggest flaw. If he was more aggressive against a Klitschko he could exploit Wladimirs weak chin but it is almost certain that if he lands anything with power Wlad will just clinch and push his weight down on him until the referee breaks and Haye is back on the outside meaning he has to do all the work getting back into range again and we have an endless cycle of duck, get inside, get clinched and break like in the Povetkin fight.

    • @theshredder650
      @theshredder650 Před 10 lety +1

      Alex Mallinson What you will also notice, is that most of Wlad's opponents let him settle into a pace where he could dictate how things went in the ring. He could keep them at range and 'paw' pick the jab at them and then toss in that right hand all night long. I think something that bothers Wlad, much like it bothers most tall fighters who are not proficient with fighting up close; and that is he sure can't fight going backwards. When he does back up he does so straight up exposing his chin, and now we have the name of the game, pressure. You mentioned Povetkin, and that's exactly what I'm talking about. Now Povetkin could get inside on Wlad, cut off the ring, but Wlad's response was just to lean on him, to an obscene amount. BUT, Povetkin had neither the speed nor the athleticism to move in and out affectively.I think he was small, but Haye had the power to affect the bigger guys such as Valuev. If indeed Haye did suffer a toe injury which according to him, prevented him from getting off in the way that he was accustomed to, I think he gives Wlad problems, or more so than he did that night. I respect what the Wlad and his bother have done, they are accomplished. However, they are certainly NOT the most skilled heavyweights. They have done what they needed to do to handle this era of heavyweights, and that has made them great. But, you can only be as good as your era allows you to be sometimes. Also consider that I have heard Wlad is closer to 6'5'' than 6'6'', Haye I believe in the what, 6'3'' range? It's not as dramatic as it seems. Wlad has a very long reach and that can give the impression sometimes that he is bigger or taller than he is. And he is also of course very solid.

    • @Colby_0-3_IRL_and_title_fights
      @Colby_0-3_IRL_and_title_fights Před 10 lety +1

      Tony Stark The toe injury was just a huge excuse from David Haye. Im British and was so excited going into the fight with all of the hype and claims that Haye would KO him. After the fight because of his excuses people lost a lot of respect for him until of course he knocked out the woman beating arsehole that is Dereck Chisora. Wladimir Klitschko is 1.98m tall meaning he is nearer 6'7 than 6'5. He also outweighs Haye a huge amount. There are weight classes for a reason one of which is to stop the exact tactics that the Klitchkos seem to use in every fight. Continuously pushing, holding and leaning on a man 20lbs lighter than you is draining and wastes huge amounts of time. Haye overcame the size difference with Valuev because Valuev is incredibly slow and relied on size alone with no skill to win his fights. Kiltscko is deceptively fast. He can jab from the outside all day and if someone comes in too quickly they will eat a straight right, be clinched and pushed away. Wlad has 61 wins and 51 by KO. That is a KO record similar to Lennox Lewis. He doesn't hit as hard as Lewis, he is a similar size to Lewis and isn't as fast. The only reason he gets KOs is because people get impatient,, rush in and get hurt. If Haye was too aggressive against Wlad I see Wlad knocking him out

If he would have beaten Wlad then of course make him top ten. Look people can slag a fighter of all they like, yes i understand people disliking Haye for pulling out of the fury fight cause of injury, but he has given so many brilliant nights in boxing and made boxing appear on the front and back of news papers, i myself have been to must of Davids fights and they were memorable nights, With achievements like a former WBA heavyweight champion.former unified world cruiserweight champion, holding the WBA, WBC, WBO, and The Ring cruiserweight titles, and the former European cruiserweight champion are pretty good. He was a top cruiserweight and cleaned most of the division, At heavyweight he fought decent opponents like Monte Barrett, WBA Champ Nikolay Valuev and former champ John Ruiz, Audely Harrison was poor but that was a money fight, He lost to Wladimir Klitschko over 12 rounds and was outclassed but not beaten up and has done far better then anyone in recent years, He hyped the fight because he has to sell a fight and he believes he can win ( and i think a 100% injury free haye beats wlad or at least most heavyweights in the top ten) He then trys to get a fight with Vitali Klitschko but he didn't want it, then fights tough chinned and good fighter in Dereck Chisora in the biggest fight in Britain in recent years and becomes the first man to knock him out, trys to get the vitali fight but he retires, Haye has been prone to injury's his whole career, people are stupid to say that haye would fake a injury when his about to make 5 MILLION pounds in a fight that must people think was going to be easy, even if he lost he still gets the money, Overall his had a brilliant career and i hope he fights again
