- Here are the Hot Wheels 2020 J Case Highlights, and there are lot. For me, a model I have wanted to see made for years - the Fifth Gen Honda Prelude - takes the cake, but there is a fantastic Super, as well a ton of other cool stuff. As a 5th gen Prelude owner, I 💯 agree with everything you said. Soooo excited for this casting.
Wish they would do a clean AP2 S2000 as well to match mine.
As a Prelude owner you realised that Hot Wheels made a small error with the car.Not so sure if they will bring it back to Ryu for retooled before releasing it back again
@@handywijaya3689 the windshield wipers? That's the only thing I could think of that would be considered an error. The rest of it looks JDM with OEM lip. And most likely an SiR w/red interior.

@@handywijaya3689 mine isn't even close to stock, but I bought it stock 16 years ago and I have no idea what you are talking about.
It has JDM fogs, JDM fender signals, paint match rockets and rear (SH models, etc). It doesn't have the Prelude lettering but that's pretty common like mine was removed. Also probably a limitation of their deco app.

@@handywijaya3689 if you're trying to use this as some test if I actually have one, well then that's your problem. I've had my SH for 16 years, have gone to the National Prelude meet in 2006, and organized the NPM in 2007, I've tracked and autocrossed the car, taken it to NOPI Nationals back in the day. And currently have a short block built with JUN head parts waiting to be put into a head.
I can't wait to add all of those to my hotwheels collection. 👍

That BMW Z4 GT3 IS JUST STUNNING I WILL GET 4 OF THEM PROBABLY. LOVE THE TCR HONDA CIVIC AND THE PRELUDE TOO GREAT STUFF. CANT WAIT TO BUY THESE CARS.

Just got one of these in blue. Had a 2001 Prelude back in the day and absolutely loved that car.
In the past I was a great prelude fan, when i was 16.
It was the model before, but anyway.
I still like the older Hondas.

I think the best Easter egg so far besides Michael Heralda's final deco for Ford Fiesta in Hot Wheels history is the stethoscope at the back of the Porsche 944.Still the best and most heartwarming stories if I ever recalled it

I hate the fact that I and many other collectors cannot go out and hunt! We technically can but it's not worth the risk. I cannot wait to be able to hunt again!

Honda Prelude BB6 is simply irresistible!
finally picked one up in a short card. Looks great.
I've always loved the Prelude and I wanted one so bad (an actual one) but they were so expensive and held their value right up until they rotted out completely. What a truly stunning car and it's nice that Ryu Asada brought it to life here.
I guess that's the importance some of us find in collecting Hot Wheels of our favorite cars; it's like we're buying the cars we've always wanted to buy...but scaled way down. We may never get to drive them again but at least we can hold a little piece of history in our hands as we remember.
I love Hot Wheels and what they bring to the table. Their models are always 10 fold better with the most details pertaining to the actual car itself (headlights and taillights) as opposed to the decoration (custom vinyls and decals). I left that BMW Z4 GT3 on the pegs since it lacked the important bits.
I love Hondas too I had two CRX two preludes and an orange S2000 Yes Hot Wheels keep them coming!
Wow so nice the jeep can't wate for that the Prelude is one of the best looking cars ever made by Hot Wheels I'm a big Jeep guy so that jeep is really nice! Love hot wheels forever the company has been doing a great job on pumping out new cars I've been so happy

I normally don’t order the complete case, but I found at least 20 castings in this I wanted. I ordered one from A and J toys. Can’t wait to get it.
Am I seeing extra detail in the plastic headlights of the Prelude? That’s nice.
I like the Jaguar in BRG - and the metal flake is fine. It’s a Hot Wheels, after all.

BMW really pops...love to see a RLC release...it deserves the extra detail....would be nice to see RLC hit the lambio with a pearl spectraflame paint with chrome turbine real riders. The future looks bright!!:)
Huh... Thats strange then. I saw this case in my local supermarket in a small UK town. Got the Prelude, Centenario and the NSX. That is strange as the UK is usually a few months behind (at least in my town). Really cool castings!
Am I the only one that misses the days that you could open the doors or the hoods on some of the mainline Hot Wheels cars!

That green Civic is GORGEOUS!
The '98 Honda Prelude is definitely the highlight here. But i do like the recolors for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS , 2018 Honda Civic Type R and the '64 Nova Wagon Gasser.
The Erikenstein Rod is interesting as well. The Sesto Elemento $uper looks great. Probably the best Hot Wheels case for 2020 so far overall. Thanks for the showcase!

I like the Gladiator, but wish it didn't have the motorcycles in the back.
I agree. If I"m lucky enough to find two of them, I might send one off to a customizer, have him remove the bikes and paint it hydro blue like my real Gladiator.

So glad hot wheels decided to make a 5th gen prelude. The last one they released was a japan only ultraman set. I’ve owned 3 different 5th gen preludes, unfortunately the one sitting I. My garage is suffering from the typical rear panel rust like most 90s Hondas in the US (Midwest). My only gripe with the model is the 5th gen never had a shark fin antenna.
The shark fin must've been an error. An error that should've never happened for Honda fanatics like Ryu and fans like John himself
Still only kicking it with the Orange RX-7 at Target and late 2019 cars at Meijer here in Michigan. Starting to really get burnt out on this.

Except Yaris.You go to the wrong manufacturers for the Toyotas.Probably Matchbox would've made one but I think you should've checked other manufacturers such as Welly and Tomica.Their Toyotas are high-quality made and cheap to be bought off eBay

Sometimes I think they should have chosen another casting for the super but it's alright, not too worried if I find that one or not. Other models that you had their I would be mad if I have not found them.
Nice Prelude....too bad it'll be December before we see them. My Walmart's and Targets are dried up....too busy trying to keep TP and the food stocked!
Nice Prelude, will definetely buy it if I can find it. So far the only Prelude in my collection is the 1/43 1992 Prelude by Minichamps, good looking car as well in my opinion. The 1983-87(?) Prelude would be nice to see as well.

Hobby stores? What hobby stores?
Not to be a wet blanket on the matter, but I tend to have this issue when it comes to finding these mythical hobby stores with Hot Wheels, even online. The ones I do find tend to be ebay users who jack prices due to speculation. Heck, I saw someone putting up an '85 Honda City Turbo II for $5 plus shipping when my local shop had at least 10 plus of them still in stock.
I'm all for supporting small business, but If I can't even get a fair shake out the bat, then how can I justify my purchase. I can understand when a comic book with a variant cover, limited in number, goes for more than cover price, but I would be really bewildered if the standard covers were marked up as well just because that issue was speculated to be really amazing. I guess this is where I have the appreciation of normal shops over what I tend to see at comic conventions. Heck, I remember picking up a Star Wars Rebel Snowspeeder Carship for it's normal price ($3) as appose to $17 online.
I actually enjoy having these cars not for the investment, but for having cool cars. I just hope shops understand that too.
I'm still relatively new to collecting and don't plan on getting sucked into the deep end on things. Maybe I just don't understand this market, but I also stand by that I was never a fan of when Magic The Gathering became another way to essentially print money. I genuinely despised that part of MTG culture and was glad when I got out for good. But I don't want to give up on Hot Wheels because it's actually a lot of fun, it has no unapologetic greedy element (besides the scalpers), and for me personally it's a great way to enjoy the hobby of cars I kind of shared with my late father.
So if anyone knows of any good hobby shops that aren't trying to screw you over, please drop their name in a reply so I can look into them. I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

John, his NSX is a copy of the Pace car of Suzuka F1 Grand Prix Circuit in 1990 and 1991

The "RA" on the door even looks like the outline of Suzuka Circuit. Suzuka Circuit is about 1.5 hours from Osaka; Ryu Asada's home town. Suzuka Circuit is owned by Honda. Honda cars are a very popular choice of the people of Osaka as well.

Yeah for ten bucks sometimes you have to buy them online cuz there's so many scalp is out there that buy them to sell them online I can hardly ever find any of the good ones
@@robertharmon9425 Yeah, but not all of it. Since most of the collector in my country is basically a JDM Nerd, it's a bit easy when you want to buy Euro & US model. For most of the time, some models event sold for almost half the price of the store
the rear bumper shut gap/line on the prelude looks like its rising towards the wheel, looks off

If you see the prices the hobby dealers are selling, you are better off buying a whole case.
Do some donation of the castings you do not like. That's what I have been doing.
