I am not a coin person, so I don't understand why cleaning a coin diminishes its value. If a coin is so degraded that its details are hidden, isn't it preferable to bring those details back? In the art world, cleaning a painting to remove years, decades, centuries of grime typically restores its beauty and doesn't detract from the work's value. You are not a monster.
