I meant to say I love the whole album and listening to him talk❤
Love this whole, it is terrific what a great voice, wish he was still here, I get a lump in my throat every time he sings or talks😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Once again Emmy & Gram have come through for me and all of you on this rainy 🌧 😌 💕 ✨ 💓 day in Boston Go Celtics
Gram’s incredible talent on full display here. Unparalleled. The complete package. The guy could write like a combination of Kristofferson and Guy Clark and sing like a combination of Ray Charles and Vince Gill. As far as a complete talent for country music the man had only one equal, Emmylou Harris.
Just terrific! Love Gram's live recordings, not just for the great music but to hear him talk. Such an intelligent, relatable guy. Hate the fact he had such a short life but so grateful he was here at all.
There will never be a better duo.
It really saddens my heart to think what Gram could have accomplished with Emmy Lou if he had just been able to control his demons. This recording really shows the potential they had. It only makes me yearn for more. Lots of folks say they weren't very good on this tour. You can't say that after listening to this recording even if the quality of the recording suffers. Gram just had charisma dripping from his soul and he could have sold you a car without an engine. He definitely sold this young rocker a plate full of country music.
Thanks , that nails it ! Hard to understand it ! Wish Emmylou could find some peace . She doesn't need all that guilty feeling !
AGREED
In documentaries there are always a few musicians who make a point of saying how bad The Flying Burrito Brothers or GP and the Fallen Angels were live.
Yet more and more bootlegs keep turning up and they are great.
It really makes me wonder if jealousy has clouded the memories of those people.
*What a gemstone this could be, if it received some serious remastering*
their voices soar and sweep, they touch gently, they rise and fall and caress each other like lovers on a dream cloud
Gram was set to soar, and then came September....
can someone please take this and clean it up? wow! what a treasure!!!
I'm just thrilled that someone recorded this.
Oh wow, what a find. Thanks for sharing. Long live the Grievious Angel.
Wow, this is so great . I love this live music . I could hear Gram calling for Emmy at one point just before Sin City . I agree , this is a treasure . Thanks so much for posting
WOW ....I'm AMAZED this recording even EXISTS .....talk about SUPER RARE ! ........Thanks for sharing this GEM!
Beautiful and priceless, thank you for sharing this with the rest of the world!
he sounded just as good live as on the records
oh my gosh, my heart has skipped a beat in finding this gem! i've longed to hear a full live show of gram and emmylou's and here it is. many thanks for this upload.
こんにちは ジョジョさん。このパフォーマンスは非常に素晴らしいです。
ありがとうございました。 東京から降りそそぐ早朝。 (Hello Jojo-san. This performance is very wonderful. Thank you very much. Greetings from Tokyo.)
I'm only 58 minutes in , and this just keeps getting better
Magic.
Wow, this is a really good find. I only heard about Gram on December 13th, 2023. And now February 24th, 2024 I am listening to over two hours of recorded music from March 19th, 1973. Oliver's is at 62 Brookline Ave (at Lansdowne St.), Boston, MA 02215?
Some have learned over the years that the ways they express empathy can sometimes be misconstrued as narcissistic. For example, when someone is telling someone about a hard time they're going through, and they've experienced something similar, they may tell them about their own experience. And I had learned the hard way that this can be seen as narcissistically trying to shift focus onto myself. But in my mind, it’s empathetic because I'm trying to comfort them and show them that they're not alone in their struggles.
40 Days of Hope Illuminate the Darkness - Eliminate Death - Choose Life - While Jesus was in Mary's Womb, the Heart of Christ was beating in unison with the Heart of Mary. It needs to be strongly cautioned that this is going to be the most painful event in human history. And it is going to require the strongest labor of love we have ever given. But we will get through this -- if we but live by the Spirit. I believe this is what the Early Church meant when they spoke, both male and female, about being Pregnant with Christ. ❤

From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me- holy is His name. His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation. - Luke 1:48-50 ❤
This is related to an essay Gram Parsons submitted to briefly become a theology student at Harvard. Parsons was accepted into Harvard University in 1966, largely on the strength of his application essay since his grades were sub-par. I suspect if Gram were still alive today he would have been just as influential as John Lennon. In his interview with Playboy in 1980, Lennon specifically criticized the romanticization of artists. Based on the beautiful lyrics in Gram's song, I wrote something 'universal' that I think Grams' theology would have submitted to Harvard. The song, "In My Hour of Darkness" by Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, & Linda Ronstadt is so very holy in my opinion. czcams.com/video/KzuSeaMy-aU/video.html ❤
Thank you!
I met his steel guitarist in Nashville on a cold winter night back on the way to Atlanta in the early 80's in a nondescript hotel bar late one night. Wished I'd met Gram tho.
Neil Flanz currently lives in Austin Texas and still is a well respected pedal steel player and teacher.
roundrocktx
Thanx for that info Roundrocktx!!! Good to know he's still rockin. I really enjoyed listening to him play and he was a friendly soul to talk to. He told me right away he used to be part of that group, but at the time I didn't know who they were. I wished I'd gotten his autograph. But instead, I just listened to some great music!
@@OlafRonald friend of mine from Montreal ,still kicking at 79
@Ray Accardi spread the word, Ray..and the petition..Thanks and a blessed one...
thanks
I am going to be sad ! Hard to deal with such a great musician like Gram , just a waste ! Feel sorry for Emmylou , she is always talking about Gram !
Hot some people ! Anyway , be Gram was way ahead of his time . Does not seem to have been taken seriously by the upper echelon of the Music industry ! They probably were happy when hearing of his passing ! They will never know what we are missing . A Superstar , even if he didn't think he was ! Gram we salute you !

1:34:23 “Still Feelin Blue”
I'm 38 minutes in.
I have enjoyed the heck out of it...then Gram and Emmy Lou started Sin City.
Wow.
Perfection, absolute perfection.
You will be hard pressed to find a bigger Chris Hillman fan than me.
Having said that I prefer this version to the one the Burrito Bros did.
Speaking of Chris, God bless him for nagging Gram until he called that "chick singer" he had found.
The world would be so much poorer if Gram and Emmy Lou had never worked together.
BTW Streets of Baltimore was Written by Tompall Glaser and Harlan Howard.
And as far as I'm concerned Gram's version is the official version.
Very good understood, tskd yhe time u need.
Just get out there and play the he'll outa it 👦

la météorite Gram Parsons accompagné de la fabuleuse Emmylou, pour finir par buter sur "In my hour of darkness", terrible comme une sentence de peine de mort.
Wow Gram don’t sound too fucked up. I am only a minute in though.

@howlinwolf73 Yes , definitely
@SingleMalt77005 :D Yes! :D
@DONDOUGPHIL1979 Doing all I can...spread the word, sign the petition..and Bless all :D
Parsons can't get into the R&R Hall of Shame and yet Hall and Oats, Queen and the band that dresses up like demon clowns can. Hey, how about the Moodies, Tull and of course Gram?
what's wrong with Queen getting in Hall of Fame
What can you possibly have against Queen? Phenomenal musicians with one of, if not the most talented singer in history. Give me a break!?!
Well, let's start with the fact that Queen has never had one completely great album. Songs like " Another One Bites The Dust" are just crap. "We Are The Champions"...and that other sporting event tune...are embarrassing. They are considered to be a great band because they could fill up large stadiums with fans who wouldn't know great rock 'n roll if it jumped up and bit them in their asses. Look, I feel the same way about shit bands like Metallica, AC/DC, etc. Heavy Metal is a waste of my time. Great music was being made by XTC, Talking Heads, Elvis Costello, The Jam and others that couldn't get any airplay during the late '70's and early '80's. So, yeah, I guess it's personal for me that people thought songs like "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" were anything more than a waste of vinyl.
That said (or written) I will concede that music is subjective...hey, there are people who like KISS (15 year olds). I prefer bands like Jethro Tull and Moody Blues, great bands that can't get into the Top 40 Hall of Fame in Cleveland because they aren't Top 40 enough. Madonna has no trouble getting in with shit like "Border Line" and "Like A Virgin." Who is next Britney Spears?
@@bodensick Agree
Does anyone know who's playing lead guitar? Steel?
Great country music.
I think Jock Bartley on guitar and Neil Flanz on steel.
6 months after this gig he's dead in a hotel room in Joshua Tree.
I love it but the sound is horrible.
la traduction n'est pas bonne, mais peu importe !
Too bad this is such a lousy recording particularly the vocals....great musicians though of course.
We have to be lucky to have any of the music ! Take what you get . Sounds like you are in a bar when listening to this recording! I could care less about quality , we can listen to studio sessions for that ! This is priceless . Great stuff !
This is the way this music is at its best raw unrefined imperfect .3am gravel roads abucket of ice and beer in a70 torino and cranked am radio RBC
He sang sort of like Jerry, couldn't really play, but was gayer than Liberace...Emmy has danced on his bones for decades, reduced at last to pathetic Christer bullshit with no remaining voice..
What is wrong with you ! Kick the man after he is passed ! Stupid , you don't know a thing , just running the guy down ! Are you gay but in denial ? Freak !
It's obvious you don't know a thing about country rock or what Gram and Emmy gave to the world. Just go away.
Emmylou is trying to keep his music and memory alive
@@sandyjohnson3030 Because she knows how extraordinary he was (her words), how much he cared about making good music, and because she loved him.
@@margaretross9150 That's how it is.
