The most important thing a person should keep in mind when infected with jaundice is that jaundice is only a symptom just like fever, tiredness, fatigue and pain of some underlying disease. Therefore, the main focus of the doctors as well as that of the patients should be to treat the underlying disease rather than jaundice. When children or adults are infected with some liver-related disease then there is a shift in their bilirubin level which when increases, makes the eyes turn yellow. Jaundice is also known as icterus.
Many reasons lead to jaundice like viral infection of hepatitis A or B, alcoholic hepatitis which increases the level of bilirubin leading to the swollen liver and chronic liver diseases like liver cirrhosis. Therefore, there is no treatment for jaundice as such. However, symptomatic treatment should be given to patients suffering from jaundice. To prevent your liver and also to get rid of jaundice it is important to give up alcohol and take prescribed medicines along with some self precautions. Treating the problems from the roots will help you cure the problems completely without any future complications.

कई कारणों से पीलिया हो जाता है जैसे हेपेटाइटिस ए या बी का वायरल संक्रमण, अल्कोहलिक हेपेटाइटिस जो बिलीरुबिन के स्तर को बढ़ा देता है जिससे लीवर में सूजन आ जाती है और लीवर सिरोसिस जैसी बीमारियां हो जाती हैं। इसलिए, पीलिया का कोई इलाज नहीं है। हालांकि, पीलिया से पीड़ित रोगियों को रोगसूचक उपचार दिया जाना चाहिए। अपने जिगर को रोकने के लिए और पीलिया से छुटकारा पाने के लिए शराब का त्याग करना और कुछ स्वयं सावधानियों के साथ निर्धारित दवाएं लेना महत्वपूर्ण है। समस्याओं का जड़ से इलाज करने से आपको भविष्य की किसी भी जटिलता के बिना समस्याओं को पूरी तरह से ठीक करने में मदद मिलेगी।
