Instead of using Loctite, I've heard that others have used double stick Scotch (cellophane) tape. I'm sure that the Loctite works, but this may be an alternative. Your mileage may vary. Good work whatever way you do it.
As you began you said it was cold and therefore needed to apply some heat. I’m not sure how cold it was but why was this light heating necessary?
Just to speed up the curing of the Loctite 603.
