Hey guys! Today I review and demo the widely popular Black Castor and Flaxseed Oil Ecostyler Gell! I've tried out a lot of products during my 8 years of being natural and I've never gotten results like THIS before. I searched high and low for this EcoStyler and it was either unavailable in every store that I went to, or it was sold out. EcoStyler gels are my top favorite gels but I show you why this EcoStyler in particular didn't make the cut for my favorite natural hair products. Let me find out ya'll are actually loving these results! 😂😂lol I am happy that so many of you loved the definition that I got from this product and feel that it'd be helpful to you! I liked the definition too, I just don't want to have to compromise ALL of my volume for it 😩😩 lol I wash my hair every 3-4 days so by the time my hair would get volume, it would be wash day! So unfortunately this can't fit in as the main product for my wash & go routines. But I definitely think this would be perfect for those who like to extend their wash days or who are searching for more definition/ moisture! It's honestly perfect for that! I'm definitely going to buy it now! Your hair came out exactly how I like my hair to look LOL If it starts out controlled day 1, that means it will fluff as the week goes on for me, with very little tangling.

Lol I live in Las Vegas, in the desert, so it's always windy. The wind gives me extra unwanted volume, so I think this gel might help tame my hair a bit.

Yes that is true! I wash my hair every 3-4 days and so by the time it would finally get big, it'd be time of me to wash it again. I didn't take into account that most people usually go longer than a few days between washes and WANT their wash & go's to stretch out as long or longer than week lol

I actually like this wash & go better than your regular ones BECAUSE its not as big. I guess it is all about preference. The volume using this gel was spot on in my opinion, not too big. But to each their own. Beautiful hair!

Your curls give me so much life sis, like yass😍😍😍 but I like this gel a lot. It defines my curls and it doesn't flake. I have no frizz and lots of shine. I don't get a lot of volume either but I don't mind; I love rocking my TWA.

I absolutely LOVE this gel!! Yes, it does start out extreamly flat but, it blooms so beautifully within 2 days. I just give my hair a light mist of water each mrng to help with the blooming process. Since using this gel my WnGs actually last 10 days!! It still looks good on day 10 too but I have to wash it to restore moisture.
I actually prefer this look than your previous looks. You Curls are so defined and just looks sooo nice 😻
I like the way your hair came out, it looked like you had beach waves, but more curly. My hair gets really frizzy so I think this product will be really good for my hair.

Yess! 😲 I am so surprised you didn't like this. I guess it depends on the style you like. Having it being able to be laid down, soft and MOISTURIZED...not hard and defined is usually a curly-headed girl's dream. Lol. I stopped using gel because of that hard and dry results but this video just made me think I can use gel again. Wow! 😂

The new coconut one is the only one that makes my hair look the way I want. All the other ones make my hair look like noodles or a jerri curl and I hate that look. I like the flat look though just not noodley looking.
The more definition I have the first day, the longer my wash and go lasts. This is the most informative review I've seen so far and definitely need to buy this product. I do alot of braid outs and twists so I am so excited!!! Thank you again for being you! 😊

It's crazy because I love the way your hair came out! It looks so defined and shiny and smooth. I typically like to wear a wash n go for 5-6 days so the fact that this is day 1 hair means i will get a good week out of this product. Can't wait to buy and try it!
This lets u know that when u watch ppls video you have to consider the results that they are looking for, she like voluminous hair the first day, a lot of ppl prefer a lot of definition on day one/wash day

I think your hair looked amaaazing. The shine and definition was crazy. I think it’s a great product to make your wash and go last for a long time. I’m sure if it’s picked out and as the days went on, it’s would have gotten bigger. I loved the results. *runs to the store to get some*

Ok I tried this again. Its excellent. What I found out that if you ladies dont feel that this does not have enough hold, try pairing this with either the Eco Styler Argan oil, or the Krsytal. That will give you the hold. You definately dont need to use anything under this gel. Just the gel itself
I don't think that she realizes that when her hair is voluminous it is also kinda frizzy. This was honestly the best wash and go I've seen her do like ever.
I love the glossy wet look when it's dry. I had been looking for a gel that would help me attain this look. It seems to be great for definition and elongating the curls! Love it! I have super thick hair as well so it's nice to have it flattened a bit sometimes lol

It did the same thing to my hair when I did the shingling method 😩 I was like maybe I used too much lol it got a littllllleeee bigger as the week went on but not much. It did keep my hair defined with almost no frizz, that's for sure, & I live in Florida 😂

Absolutely LOVED your results. I wear wash and goes for a full week and my wash days are usually Friday or Saturday. I will take that definition because my volume will come in the later days lol thanks for sharing!

I was honestly really scared to press this video bc I want to buy this product for my hair, i always think videos like this are gonna put me down and make me second think on buying some things. But i was actually really surprised, you did good explaining it and I appreciate that you don’t say a bunch of discouraging things. Based on your feed back I will still be buying this gel but when applying I will make sure not to put butt-load in like you said.

This is my favorite ecostyler gel hands down!! I am going out to buy an even larger tub of the black castor oil gel and it smells fantastic! Smooths my hair down and my hair is thick!! I love buns and braids, makes my hair look very professional for work.

lmao But volume is important to me personally lol I have products that give me all of those 4 things PLUS volume. And the gel cast was very strong so I pretty much had to rewet, detangle, and apply 4 different products for me to get any volume... picking alone did nothing even to my day 2 hair lol To me it's just not worth it when there are other products with the same benefits but without the flatness.
Super defined and to hear the gel still left your curls soft and moisturized is definitely a plus but your beautiful volume! I rarely ever use gel but you have me wanting to try the protein eco styler ... maybe a small container first. I just bought aloe gel bc of you lol
I noticed you talked about how thick the product is. would you recommend this for those with Low porosity hair(4b/4c)?? I would love to get that definition the product was able to do to your hair
jerricperrycp I'm wondering this too bc I have the same hair type. I'm wondering with my low porosity if I can do a one product wash and go and still be moisturized.
I'm not 100% familiar with low porosity hair and it's needs but this product was sooo moisturizing and thick. And it is great at definition! I'm hoping someone else with low porosity hair can chime in with their advice!!

jerricperrycp It's hard to say. Even two low porosity heads can be very different. I have low po hair, but I don't have the build up problem that a lot of other low po hair type peeps do. I can use a leave-in and gel on top with no problem at all. Only thing to do to know for sure is get a small jar and try it out. :)

Noooo don't be depressed! I just didn't personally like it for wash & go's! I like to use it on my edges and I feel like it would be amazing for ponytails, buns, protective styles, twist-outs, etc.! And so many people have already commented that they love the gel or that they want to buy it now because they liked the results. I used it today to define my hair actually! It's just that I didn't like the lack of volume and crunchy look that it gave to my wash & go lol

Natural T. Just bc one person doesn't favor the product doesn't mean you cant. Everyone's hair is different as well as their personal preference. Her opinion of the product wasn't bc it was a bad product but bc it didn't suit her personal preference. Always try things for yourself bc it may do wonders for your hair.
