Painbrush is the best Salmon Run brush! I use it for Rainmaker too.
The one thing I told people when they said that they had been struggling with the weapon in this recent Hydroplant rotation was "make sure you have ample space, clear lessers, and you'll be fine". I even got my 9's with it as well. It may be tricky to learn, but once you get the feel for it, it's a game-changer because of it's ability to clear big crowds of lessers very quickly.

5:23 "The Painbrush will cause you... pain..."

I thought of painbrush more like range blaster due to the aggressive playstyle you have to take. While it deals a lot of damage, it is slow and ink hungry

Each to their own, right? I think the RB comparison makes sense in a lot of ways. My comparison to Dynamo was more of a thought experiment to help people diffrentiate the Painbrush from the other two brushes and to hopefully help players use it more effectively.

It would be cool to see you cover Grizzco weapons

In due time I will for sure. But I may leave them for a while due to how OP they are and how uncommon they are. I think people might appreciate a Slosher or Stamper one sooner rather than later so I might do that if I get enough requests for either of them.

Great video. Thanks for putting it together. Sometimes waiting for the first swing feels like an eternity. I've definitely fallen victim to poor ink management. I was excited about painbrush when it was announced and still think it is the best looking brush, but decreasing the first shot delay would raise it up a class.

thank you for this!!!! i’ve played salmon run casually for a while but recently i’ve been wanting to get more serious about it and learn some more strategy and this is really helpful :)

Painbrush! I really love this weapon. I remember back when it was first introduced where the ink consumption was actually worse before they buffed it later. So this is the best version of it.
The rolling mode for this one is much better used as an escape tool compared to the others. Usually if things start looking dicey, I make sure to quickly get out of dodge with the roll in order to get ink back before going back into the fray.
I can never hit Fish Sticks with it, though. It's hard to aim for them, and for what it's worth, inking the stick and splatting them from on top is way better to do anyway. It guarantees safety from most enemies. Hot tip right here.

Painbrush feels more like a weird slosher to me than it does a brush.
