We just replaced a DOD LS460W (got damaged) with a Thinkware X550 based on an evaluation done by the Canadian distributor. Low light performance is the DOD's strongest suite IMO; the X550 files are completely useless for identifying movement as that belonging to a human. The application here was a well lit apartment parking lot with motion triggered additional spotlights. We could not understand why Thinkware cameras got such a good rating with this distributor.
it does has parking mode, the camera needs to be hard wired for that to work, motion detector will activate and camera starts recording. it however, doesn't have wifi or a 2 channel version. cheers !

Does the DOD record if the car is parked and someone hits it? Do they offer a 2 Chanel version? WiFi? Thank you

Do you feel as if the DOD is better than the Thinkware?
yes, a lot better when it comes to night time recording especially
Have you had the chance to try the Thinkware 770 yet?
