Ok i admit when i saw THIS is how the Union Cross players were rewarded i shed a tear that Nomura saluted them by having their Keyblade user names in game assisting Sora, that was awesome.

59:26 I’ve played union x for years and this broke me.
Picture this: I was 13 and I discovered that union x was haveing an event where you can get your name featured in kh3 and I wanted that so bad, but unfortunately I was grounded at the time for something dumb I did and eventually forgot about the whole thing.
Years later I pick up this game up being disappointed because I didn’t like the gameplay(freaking attractions) until I got to the endgame.
But then I finally got to this part, I completely lost it. Seeing my fellow keyblade wielders fight alongside Sora was insane! I for-real screamed “MY KEYBLADE IS THERE! IM HELPING SORA!” So loud my mom had to tell me to shut up because it was the middle of the night.
Even if your name wasn’t featured, that was us, the kh Fanbase as a whole.
May your heart be your guideing key.

I was playing when that event was running. I knew I'm not gonna make it to the list because of the whales and day 1 players. But at least I got early Starlight

I know i couldve placed in the high score challenge, but I had taken a break cause I was monster hunter world addicted and was playing league of legends alot at the time. Worth and not worth both at the same time lol
For those that don't know, Union X is a mobile KH game, and they had an event where 300 people from each region could get their character names into KH3, this sequence of going through all the reaction commands is this moment. All the names and symbols are the players and what Union they were in.
That was incredible! The first time I played this and saw those names, was incredible
"My friends are my power."
"Alone, I'm worthless."
So sad, Sora has always felt this way more or less.
I really hope this gets explored more. Sora has so little value of himself there is good character building potential.
Yeah. Everyone keeps telling him that kind of stuff in some way too. The villains all call him "a dull ordinary boy". And when Sora says his famous quote Xigbar tells him "duh! You are only strong because of your connections to other people. As if the keyblade would ever choose a whimp like you". And after he loses his powers in DDD everyone constantly teases him about it. They are all like "yeah we are so cool. Sora still needs a lot of work though". After everything he kinda doubles down on the whole "my friends are my power" thing. It's really sad when you think about it. Just like Hana K i really hope that gets explored now that he is in Quadratum and none of his friends are with him. It's a very important part of his character.
Well Sora originally was never meant to have the Keyblade until Riku messed up and joined the darkness in the first game. He was at the right place at the right time when all that happened. He got lucky which in a way is kinda sad.
@@SyLuX636 technically if Terra hadn't given Riku the power, Sora could have gotten it from Aqua or through his connection to Ven. He wasn't supposed to get that particular keyblade but he's always been more than worthy.
I’ve been saying this for SO LONG it’s so nice to see other people seeing this as well. I feel like for a lot of people Sora is pretty one dimensional and the chipper boy we always see. But deep down inside he has horrible self esteem and thinks very little of himself. There are a lot of ways he alludes to this in the games. And you actually see this explored a bit more in the novel.
I fucking love that this game pretty much confirms that DONALD is the strongest mage of all the Square Enix titles. He's one of two people who can use Zettaflare and the only one who can use it without assistance AND without dying 😂
True but he does need to not heal you for 3 games to save up enough MP for it

Donald did actually died from using Zettaflare, but it didn't matter as the others died too. They just revived thanks to Sora using the power of waking.

@@lukasruston8618 Welp, is kind of complicated. You can have someones heart, but that doesn't mean that person is "alive". If you rewatch the Axel scene where is about to be striked down by Xenmas, Xion stop him claiming that "We need him alive" and Xenmas answer "We need his heart, not his soul". Meaning that you can kill someone in KH and still retain their hearts. The same happend to Kairi when Xehanort killed her.
The stars in The Final World, especially the unvoiced ones, really pull at my heartstrings. All the kinds of love holding people together in the afterlife. Children for parents, siblings, parent for child, master to student, rivals, nemesis to nemesis.

To make it even darker/sadder I can’t remember but I think one of the stars is a mother who died in childbirth, it’s implied that her child is what’s keeping her there in the Final World meaning that she won’t move on until her child dies
It especially hits when you realize that it's the only dialogue in the game that isn't voice acted
In a game that honestly doesn’t have very good writing, the unnamed starts are surprisingly well-written. They feel so different than everything else we’ve come to expect from Kingdom Hearts.
@@treddox5880 Kingdom Hearts is not a story-driven saga, it's an emotion-driven saga. The emotional hits hit like fucking truck, and this is one of them.
I've seen many playthroughs of KH3 at this point and noone but you stopped to read and talk to the stars / the people who died. It really showed to me how much you care about this whole KH journey! 😊
I talked to the stars for a long while. It was interesting what they had to say.
In a final fantasy mmo the character needed a god to use a slightly weaker flair spell to erase the continuity of the game in the world. Donald used that power on terranort on his own and only got knocked out. He didn’t just kill the man he erased him from continuity

And also the only one who was able to cast Zettaflare unaided. The only other who managed that feat had to draw from the power of that game's god of destruction to be able to pull that off

Fun tip for anyone who replays the game, after you collect all 111 sora's you're given the choice to collect more. At 222 sora's you get an HP boost, and 333 gives you another one. After that it forces you to move on with the story. Useful for something like critical mode.
The light of the past moment made me cry. I played union x for a while, but i didn't participate in the event that allowed the winners to appear in the game as a reaction command. But knowing that my keyblade, the keyblade of my character in the union x game, was helping sora, made me really happy
I choose to headcanon that the Starlight keyblade he gets after that sequence is the Player Character's
Actually, master yen Syd is a former keyblade master. That is why in BBS he was teaching mickey. So don't be surprised if in a future game he appears with an old keyblade

The worst thing about the stars on the Final World is that all hearts there are held on there by someone. Sora and Naminé were held on by Kairi, the Nameless Star was held on by the boy she pined for (I'm not gonna name him), and... the nemesis was held on by his nemesis, that child who cried out for her Papa was held on by him, that twin sibling was held on by their twin, that master was held on by his student, that servant was held on by their master...
It makes me cry every time I think about it.
The Union X moment brought me to tears and had me jumping out of my seat in excitement. I had been playing Union X since day 1 and had earned quite a few entries into that name contest for KH3. I really thought that all the names chosen would be put in the credits of the game or like a gravesite in the keyblade graveyard acknowledging our deaths in the keyblade war or something but to see my character acknowledged as someone lending their strength to sora still brings be insane amounts of joy. Namine told Sora that's what she did when they met in The Final World.
34:45 at the beginning of the game, in the dive into the heart, in the tutorial, when you control kh1 sora, he says "there are 7 hearts to save" or something like that. Those hearts are not the princesses from khq, but the hearts that the lich heartless took. That Dive into the heart is not just a retold of the previous games, it is what sora experiments after the demon tide takes his friends. The light he follows is Kairi. And then you fight against an aquatic darksid or chthulu in the final world.
Never considered that before.

I never thought I would say this but dam, Goofy is a badass the way he blocked Terra's attack like that with his shield.
Yeah, the force behind his attack sent himself flying back, and Goofy was able to block it perfectly. The effect on his body was equal and opposite to the effect on Terra's body.

Which is worse? His voice in the base game or his voice in the DLC? To me his voice in the DLC just doesn't fit him. Not even after the reveal that he was a well-intentioned extremist and not a stereotypical Machiavellian schemer.

Yeah it was awesome. Context alone changing an emotional response to a song in such a powerful way… I’ll never get tired of stuff like that.
If you look at the usernames of the people that got in. You can see Roxas, Sora, Xion, Ventus, Xeanort, Aqua and a few others that people named themselves.
The ultima canon attack from the lingering will? If you grinded out the mirage arena in birth by sleep, you got that as a reward for terra along with the ultima keyblade. Each of the 3 had their own special shotlock ability.
Xehanorts eyes were a different color in the past because he had yet to fall to darkness :(
13:10 I never thought much of the tutorials you got for certain abilities throughout the beginning of the game, nor did I think about the location they took place. I love how Chirithy references this though that Sora kinda just wanders in and out. I don’t think Dee did the tutorials so I feel like those comments went over his head. If there’s something else Chirithy is referencing then correct me, but I always thought it referred to the tutorials
It mentioned the station of awakening so I always thought he was talking about every time Sora goes there
It is the tutorials. They take place in the Station of Awakening, which is a dreamworld formed in a person's own heart. Literally the platforms. In every opening we see Sora constantly dive in and out of water, sometimes multiple times. We even see his clones in KH1 throughout time doing the same. It's always been there, hidden in plain sight. That sequence has been foretold from the first game.

Xehanort's eyes became yellow after exposure with darkness. Same for dark aqua.

This is the best playthrough I've seen because it closely mirrors my experience and delight playing through KH3. DeeBee's reactions are perfect and so relatable. Shame I couldn't follow this on twitch live.
The keyblade wielders of old coming to help was the best part of this whole game to me. I played Union X/all the rest for years faithfully, and even though I was no where near good enough/wouldn’t pay to be good enough to win this event and get my player name in the game, the idea that my character was one of those supporting Sora just makes this all so emotional. It’s almost like you’re part of the game yourself and it’s so incredible. I won’t lie, I definitely cried. Honestly, even now I’ll still tear up.

What happened was there was an event in Union X that, if you finished it, got your name mentioned in KH3. I was sorry I hadn’t heard of it when I was playing or I would have definitely been in that event.
Its too bad i missed this part during your super long final stream! Then again i would've been in TEARS during the UX part, as another player and wielder back then I didnt have the chance to do much in the event, i got in way too late sadly (from a break i took from the game itself and most gacha games by then)
You have no idea how badly i teared up in happiness when i saw this part for the first time , everyone's keyblades in there helping Sora. Im glad to have been one of those keyblades! And for the fun i had back then with the game early on!

Donal is a being able to literally destroy solar systems. And the Zettaflare didn’t kill him, he just got unconsious. And is really that strong, Terra's body didn’t even touch the ground again, he was fully desintegrated.
I never played the Union game either, but man that moment was magical. So many of this and that on screen, and the M U S I C

I hope you realize that to get the secret boss you have to collect 30 lucky emblems, find all the ingredients. And defeat all data battles. This unlocks THE HARDEST BOSS EVER! Try imagining fighting Lingering will, vantius, dark Aqua, xemnis, possessed Riku, and dragon malefiecent in one fight. That would be equal to only 30% of the difficulty of the secret boss. You will lose that fight many many many times. And you will get the bad ending hundreds of time even with max status. But when you finally get that win a big secret is reveal. But that cut scene is locked behind the secret boss which is behind data battles. So if you want to feel that rush of beating the hardest boss ever you must complete the data battles
You only get the bad ending the first time you lose. All subsequent losses take you to the standard death screen. People would have been a lot less willing to grind that fight out if they had to skip a cutscene, wait through a loading screen, navigate the title screen menu to get back to the Secret Episode, wait through another loading screen, and skip another cutscene before getting to fight him again every time they lost. The fight would have gained OoT Water Temple notoriety for a similarly arbitrary reason. A whole lot of waiting and menu navigation when they could be playing the damn game.
So many satisfying moments!

While Sora and the others were fighting the Heartless, Terranort destroyed LW (I might be misunderstanding your comment, and I’m sorry if that is the case)

In the meeting, they show us the 13th darkness and the 7 lights, but when Xehanort summons the arena for the fight, later in the sky we can see that Terranort and LW are still fighting so... Yeah I could be a minor mistake bc if terranort is fighting LW, in the meeting it's supposed to be 12th members not 13th, anyways

The hoards of heartless feel a little rushed... Story wise they did this in KH2 with the 1000 heartless that sora, donald and goofy beat with little issue. How many would it take to give all 9 of them trouble?
To me, the worst part of Kingdom Hearts III's swarm battle is that unlike the Rock Titan fight, you can't end the battle sequence without using Attraction Flow. Before the free DLC that included Critical Mode came out, I did a playthrough where I deliberately avoided using Attractions, and if I selected one by accident I immediately cancelled it. I grinded the meter for that battle all the way down, or at least as far as I could. It stopped at the last little sliver of yellow, and stayed there even after I killed another 50 or so enemies.
