Amazing that the Battle Brew tell the story of soldiers. What an awesome way to tribute the men (and women) who have gave their lives for our freedom.
Fun Fact: In Georgia (USA) there is a gaming bar called "Battle & Brew" haha
Thank you so much for the review!! We can’t thank you enough for all the support…. Looking forward to meeting yall.
Absolutely! Thanks for your support as well!
Thank You so much for the Review!! We love the feedback as it helps us in our research to continue to make our meads better for the customers!! We also get a lot of ideas from watching your channel as well. Thank you for always making great content for the mead making community.
Happy to have you!
I frequent these guys pretty regularly. I really love mead and their meads especially, it’s awesome.
Really enjoy hearing the back stories about things like this. Joined at 14! 😮
Cork pop is so satisfying.
I appreciate sharing the cork pop 👌🏼 so satisfying.
Sounds like a great bunch of folks to support. Plant City also has a meadery right down town.
Thanks for showcasing this! :)
Hey, that is a local veteran owned meadery to me. They have some really great stuff.
I was waiting for this!
Awesome. I need to get some of their products.
I love your titles. Keep it up.
Glad you like them!
These tastings are fun :)
Interesting❗️
I find it interesting Derica made mention of a "scotch" note to the Battle Weary Mead. The wife told people she thought my first traditional mead tasted kind of like whiskey without the high alcohol flavor. Great video as always!
😂 What timing! I just saw the Community post about this as I got the notif that the video posted.
Peach, pear, and watermelon...all prime candidates for "natural flavors". lol
I might retry watermelon wine again, and add watermelon powder when it's done. Seems like cheating to me, but...I would like my watermelon wine to taste like watermelon fruit, not rind.
I need to order some mead from them again. They definitely tend toward the sweeter side of sweet, but have not been disappointed by their products in any way, shape, nor form. Always tasty!
I live in Louisiana and I'm yet to try them. Going to take care of that this week lol
...and MY mouth is watering... 😂❤
Another nice vid!
Glad you like them!
I love your guys' takes on everything, whether it is your own brews or others. I would love to see you make a bouchet (boiled/caramelized honey) some day!!

@@CitySteadingBrews Thank you! LOL I remembered I can Google things, and already found it (am watching rn)
Not sure how far into Fla it's stocked regularly but have ya'll ever tried "Golden Eagle Table Syrup"? It's made in Fayette AL it's a blend of corn syrup, cane sugar syrup, molasses, and honey. Just thinking it might be something different you could experiment with.
I will look into it!
8% ABV is fine actually, I don't need to send my tongue on an ethanol road trip every time I drink.
Yup, true.
You ought to try Lost Cause out of San Diego some time
Would absolutely love to try these but the shipping is horrendous. It costs as much as one bottle does! Not to blame them but shipping anymore is nuts.
Yeah, not sure they have any control over that.
Thank you so much for this comment!! We totally understand the concern about shipping. Unfortunately the service provider we use (vinoshipper) sets those shipping rates. We send out a lot of meads and the one thing we can say is generally whether you buy 1 or 5 meads the shipping rate is usually the same price. We do not get paid for any anything other than the product and do not receive money for shipping. I hope that in the future those costs can come down. Thank you again and I hope you come visit us sometime!!
I prefer scent or aroma, over 'smell'. Smell (at least for me) refers to something off-putting.
So the one thing I have noticed when you two try their meads is you always "love" one and just "like" the other. Not a critique just an observation from a long time viewer with a good memory lol. Cheers from MT.
That's possible.
I just started a blueberry cider with frozen berries I noticed a layer krausen do you still recommend giving it a gentle stir every now and then to prevent mold growing on berries?(First time having krausen in a brew don't know what to do)
Krausen is not harmful. Mold would be though, so yes, keep the berries wet.
@@CitySteadingBrews it had about 7 inches of krausen now there is small particles of berries and krasuen around the inside of the container should I be worried about that molding?
You can swirl it to stay moist, probably not an issue.
I notice you say wine? I was on lindisfarne island recentyl and tried some of their meads and quickly realised it wasn't real mead it was wine fortified with spirit and honey and then tried some other meads from the national trust that were the same.
Yeah, it happens. I wouldn't call it mead, but, I don't get to write the rules.
I'm only asking as I like to try other people's brews to compare with mine amd wondered if it would be worth shipping to the UK. So far the best commercial mead I have tasted is a local mead to me made by the lancashire mead company and I've met the couple that make it amd we have the same values as you guys and its all natural amd doesn't taste like fake sweets or any other weirdness
What are the mugs called
Mudheads Pottery. There's a link in the description.
So when do we get to buy some CSB mead? ❤😍
Probably never? We don't own a meadery 😀
@@CitySteadingBrews I'd love to try some of the mead you make, I just looked it up though and selling alcohol seems complicated 😅
(I'm in Australia too, so add international sales to that 😔)
It's totally illegal yeah, unless we had spare millions to start a meadery, lol.
@@CitySteadingBrews time to crowd fund 😂😂
@togetherrising6563 tbh, not really interested in starting up another business 😀
Brian Question can you use anything like lemon zest like a hops in beer would that work maybe it’s been on my mind even hibiscus like a hop added to a mead ???
You can try. Hops is just there for bittering. Would be very different!
