Like seven/eight years back when This is War 2 came out and Rickard Jäger edited these videos, I thought the kinetic typography was the coolest thing I've seen in my LIFE and I immediately downloaded After Effects via very legal methods and I still continue to make my own videos with it. Im afraid ive come to the point of obsession over this part.Not only i just love the Violin, "The spoiler is coming and the ending is death" is the single best line ive heard. I have replayed this part more times then i want to admit.

I LOVE how the whole song kept to storyline and ended with Shen, Zed, and Akali! I'd at least hoped for Badmin to come back, but not ONLY did I get that, but also Shara AND Rawb?! I'm so fucking grateful I looked into TIW7 to find it was still coming out. Now to put it on repeat until I memorize the song. This is an out-fucking-standing Christmas gift! Thank you Falconshield, all parties involved, and the fans for funding this great work!
Not to be that guy, but it really isn't super lore accurate to recent lore. I still love it so much either way though.
I mean, Riot has revised and re-written the lore several times. It doesn't matter that it doesn't match with what is clearly still a largely changing lore scheme. Besides, I wasn't talking about League's storyline, I was referring to the narrative the vid built within itself. Each of the TIW vids have established a narrative that wasn't perfectly in line with League's lore, that's part of what makes the vids great imo.

I think what makes this one so good is that, while it still has a bunch of cute references in its lyrics, the typography doesn't make them overwhelmingly obvious. It's nice for the lyrics this time around to be mostly relevant to the champion's lore and aesthetic. Loved it!

Pls make a Vol.2 like you did with Shadow Isles vs Void. There are so many great champs left with amazing potential. Like Kayn with his 2 forms. I love the depth given to Zed and his motivations here compared to his verses in the Shen vs Zed rap battle Falconshield made all those years ago. Really shows how far the lore came in the last few years.
For sure, Riot did a great job of turning the conflict from good vs evil to deontology vs utilitarianism with the comic, and the song made good use of that.
Although arguably Zed also got really lucky with his choices in the war (one of the biggest downsides of shadow magic is that it invites Nocturne corruption which he dodged by... Lux coincidentally trapping Nocturne XD).

When Kusho turned against Zed, there was one panel where he looked EXACTLY like Nocturne, which confirms that too much usage of the Shadow Magic will turn people into Nocturne-type shadow demons. Fan theories say that the realm nocturne’s from is kind of eternal/exists across all points in time, and that nocturne is actually a future zed who masters shadow magic and thus evolves into the being that nocturne is.
@@cybrex569 The point of that scene being though that Zed actually mastered the shadows and can control them, while Kusho quickly burned up.

As usual the quality is impressive. Love the attention to detail and appreciation for the lore of the characters. Great to see familiar names in this collab as well.
Shen's verse is definitely my favorite so far. The lyrics themselves are amazing, but the voice is what really made me love it!
Especially this line at 8:30 "Listen, Zed. Light is not a burden, but a lesson. We don't serve the shadows, that's a blessing.", just really clicks with me, I love it!
Once again you guys pulled together some incredible talent and sent us a banger to listen to. I have especially missed Badmin and was so happy to see his return along with all the other excellent returners and some new voices that absolutely killed it on the beat. Keep being awesome and thank you all for all the fantastic music!

This was a level up from alllllllll the other this is war's. The music, the track and all the performances were spot on and the lyrics! They have some real talent as some of the rhyme schemes on this were actually fire.

Same, definitely. But I definitely will stay disappointed of ma boi Jhin. Very poor choice taking rawb for him. Don't get me wrong, I like Rawb, he's a talented guy and on the other TiW's he's awesome. But his voice is way too high and his Rapstyle way too fast for Jhin.
Shadow Isles pt1 is the only one I liked the first time I heard it, and ironically, now it’s the one I like the least.

I get chills everytime I hear "Akali comes out of hiding". So many good things in this song.
While I did enjoy the hard work everyone put into this, the constant "Karma" alluding kind of fell flat when Karma didn't even get a verse in the end. The lyrics didn't flow as well as in previous versions it felt like

I'm happy about new content and this series being continued. This one I feel is not as pleasant to the ears as the last parts. TIW:6 was an absolute banger front to back. Beat sick, lines sick, flow sick. Catchy lyrics that stuck with me for weeks. I'm not a fan of the static almost a cappella parts this time around. But after listening to it like 6 times back to back it has grown on me. I look forward to the future.

i was really hyped for zed/jhin and i was dissapointed. I agree, compared to 5/6 it wasnt even close. Badmin playing Xerath was insane. Badmin playing sett just feels like something is missing. Cannot pinpoint what it is

I don't mean this to sound rude, I just don't know another way to put it.
i think some of the voices did not really match the person they were representing, that's not me saying they are bad but compared to all the other wars it feels disconnected. it might even just be the tempo but the only voice that really felt right was Jhins.
Another thing I think needs work is the tempo pacing of each champion. Zed’s part (the first one) felt nice, it carried on without dragging on. It had a few joke/pop culture references but quickly turned into metaphors and idealism. Only for when it ended it moved onto Lee Sin who had 40 seconds of gameplay references and jokes for most of his time on screen.
What I loved was how the beat of the song changed with each champion and it felt personalized to the champ, i said that Jhin's was my favorite but that first part, the animations and the beat gave me chills.
I have little experience with music so honestly my critiques could be entirely wrong, also i'm not saying i hate the song i just feel like what made the other War’s amazing was left out in this one. I can't wait for the next one.
If we had Kayn in the end, helping Zed, I would make an altar to this video.

Man... These were great but I miss when they tried to do the voices. It made it sound so much more epic. Freljord will forever be the best This is war. Zed , Lee, Irelia, Yasuo, Ahri and Shen absolutely killed it!
Some people never tried. Like Badmin for instance. He always just did his voice. Same with Nicki Taylor. They both are just speaking (Nicki almost talk/sings to be fair, but still). But I know what you mean, it was really cool that they did try before for the most part.

@@mrsfoster1701 Honestly, I don't remember her Trist verse much because it's been a while since I listened to the Yordles one, but her Elise one was a lot like her Ahri part in this one... Her normal voice with a slight change in tone and breathiness.
Edit: Just re-listened to that verse of hers. That is one of her normal "versions" of her voice. She like to change her pitch and tone sometimes (at least that's how it seems after watching her stream for a while) and use minor tweaks to her voice for dramatic and comedic effect.
