OMG. Was worried with Alexey's gesture checking himself when descending and that weird leg kicks on the final ascend adds a thrill to watch. But he is very experienced and should know if anything was wrong. Did not seem like someone with a problem at all when he surfaced. Left us with deep curiosity though.

Did anyone ever figure out what the issue was with his right leg? Cramp?

The new gen doesn’t have time for freediving, all engaged in computers. So don’t worry, they’ll be fine :)

Once you've learn a little more about apnea, you'll find out that it's a beautiful way of life and as nothing to do with competing with the others but with yourself, by breaking your limits and the proof of that is the difference between fifty years ago and now. The accidents can happen in every competitions but despite of all, apnea is one of the safety's in the world. Just try and you'll see what I'm talking about. Best regards from Portugal!!! 🙏🏼
