- Hi Guys,
So, scanning through Pinterest I found that Elizabeth Craft Designs has a whole new collection called You’ve Got Mail. In that collection there is this postage stamp die which perforates a sheet to look like stamps. I thought we can probably recreate it using tools we already have in our craft spaces. So here’s my version of that project. The supplies I used in this project will be listed below.
Thanks so much for watching!

Happy Crafting!
You’ve done it again, Maggie! I just love your stuff. I love that you see something and if it’s to costly to purchase the items needed, you come up with an alternative that is stunning. Thank You so much for sharing your creativity with us. 🩷
Hi Barbara!! I’m so happy that you liked my version of this project. I’m really happy with the results and the versatility. It was a lot of fun to make. Thanks for always being so kind and encouraging. You’re the best Barbara!! :)
What a great idea using that pattern tracing tool. I have mine from Home Economics from school back in the day. Can’t believe I kept it all these years.
Hi Erika, that must be so cool to still have the same tool from your school days. Very nostalgic. Thanks so much for watching
I love how these turned out! I didn’t think putting down the perforations first would make sense but you managed to fill in every space! 👏
Hi Jo, glad you liked it. It was a lot of fun to figure out what stamps would fit in certain spots. Kind of like a puzzle. Thanks for watching
What a fantastic idea! Love Love Love.❤ This is so clever. I am going to make some and share in happy mail with some of my crafting friends. Maggie, you rock!
Thank you so much for watching Evelyn. So glad you like them. I know your crafty friends will love them.
These are fantastic, just love the idea of using the wee rolly perforated thingy !!! To make these. Another amazing idea. Xoxo
Thanks Kay, I’m so glad you liked this method. It is really easy and super fun to use. I hope you will give it a try. Thanks for watching
I love these and I love your style!! I've been binge watching your videos, even the haul ones. There's something about your channel that has now become my #1 favorite!! TFS all of your ideas and inspiration!! Hugs from California * L
Thank you so much Leslie. I’m so happy that you are enjoying my channel. You are so very sweet. I was born and raised in California! Nice to know there’s another Cali girl here. Thanks for watching :) Maggie
LOVE this idea! you can really customize it any way you want and you can use the individual cutouts, or just add the whole sheet to a journal and let the other person play!
Exactly! I’m so glad you see it that way too. These are just ideas but you can definitely change it up to fit your style and needs. Thanks so much for watching
Maggie you are so good at recreating things! Your amazing. I enjoyed this video so much and I can’t wait to try it! Congrats on your 10k……you so deserve it! 🌻
Thanks Karen!! I’m happy everyone enjoyed it. It’s so easy and so much fun. You are going to have a blast! Can’t believe I’m at 10K already. It’s unreal. Thank you so much for always watching!
Great tip on using the tracing wheel. I love how your vintage stamp images came out.
Thanks so much for watching Belinda
You never cease to amaze me! What fun and creativity!💕💕
You are very sweet. Thanks so much for watching Vickie
I was so inspired by your video that I made 2 sheets with cardstock and then another 2 with bookpages--so much fun! Thanks❤️
That’s so great! So glad you enjoyed this project. Thanks so much for watching
I got out my score board and dressmaker's tracing wheel and tried this. Brilliant idea! In order to give every stamp four perforated edges, I perforated 1/8" from all edges of the sheet before doing the internal lines. I also distressed the perforations on the raised back side instead of on the front. I love your video!
Great idea Elsie, thanks so much for watching
Wonderful idea! Just found your channel this morning and already binge watching your other videos! So much inspiration! Thanks for sharing!
Hi Nicki, welcome to my channel. I’m so happy to hear you are enjoying my videos. Thanks so much for watching
Loved these ideas. Great to be able to keep them in a sheet until needed save having to store loose pieces. Thanks for the inspiration. Crafty hugs Jacqui😁
Hi Jacqui, thanks so much for watching. Crafty hugs right back :)
That funny perforating tool is called a tracing wheel. Great video
Thanks for that Colleen and thanks so much for watching. :)
Oh!!!!! Thanks You so
much! It's a very good Idea. I love stamps.
Glad you liked them. Thanks for watching
So creative! Love your videos. It is so relaxing watching you craft!!😘❤❤
Thanks Terri!
I saw Crafty by Toni (fun channel) use the Elizabeth Crafts stamps die, and it was pretty cool, but I think you came up with a great alternative! Plus, your method has the flexibility to look at the stamps you want to use ahead of time and make the stamp sizes that you want.
Really?! I’ll have to check out that channel and see how it was done. I’m really glad you liked my version of this die. I’m with you, I liked the versatility of this method better. Thanks again for always watching Rhonda!
@@SunsetCrafts Crafty by Toni is a big fan of grunge, like you are.
@irhonda31 Awesome! I’ll check it out!
Way back early 20s I played around with filo clay. I would stamp letters and cut with that tool. We used to use it for putting cutting pattern marks on fabric. I sewed a lot in the seventies. I made a new mini skirt every week for the friday dances we had. I had a great home ec teacher. I love that fleur-de-lis paper ughhh. You are such a good stamper i suck sorry but it's true. I made a bunch of sticker inspired by melina with magazine pictures and I used the rolly tool. I had a problem with numbers. No stamps. Very very fun as always miss Maddie
My mom taught me to sew at an early age, she told me it would make me or break me. I loved it. Made so many outfits, mostly skirts with matching vests. My grandmother taught me to knit, which I still love to this day. About the only thing my sewing machine touches now is paper. You brought back some good memories for me, thanks.
Hi Ms. Suzy, you are a very crafty lady. A woman of many traits. So super cool. That was very fun to read. Thanks for sharing and Thanks so much for always watching.
Great idea! I’m a big fan of “using what you have.” TFS!💜
I’m so glad you enjoyed this project. Thanks so much for watching
Wow! That's a great idea! I've tried this just on a flat surface and a slightly padded one with bad results. You have just made my day!!! 😊
Hi Sandy, that’s so great. Glad I was able to share this project. Thanks so much for watching
I'm a new subby. And i just love this idea ty for sharing. Can't wait to see what you do next.❤❤
Hi Becky, welcome to my channel. I hope you continue to enjoy my content. Thanks so much for watching
Oh that is so cute! I like that any stencil or stamp would work on those stripes, flowers, dots, zigzags as well as the Tim Holtz look that you have here. So fun, thanks for sharing! For once I have all of the stuff I need and better yet, know where to find it all :)
Hi Jean, I really like making projects that are so versatile. It’s easy to change them up. Sounds like you’ll be crafting along with me! That’s awesome. Thanks for watching Jean!
I love this idea! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for watching
What a great idea. Love them!
Thanks for watching Sandra
Very cute idea. I thought it was so cool how the stamps fit so perfectly in your random shapes. I probably couldn’t do that if I tried, ha ha. Maybe I should try.❤😊
Hey Laurie, glad you liked it. It’s a lot easier than you think. It’s actually a lot of fun finding ones that fit…kind of like a puzzle. You should definitely give it a try.
I will. I love puzzles. @@SunsetCrafts
Maggie! This is brilliant!! I love this and I am certainly going to give it a try!! Thank you! XO Trudy
That’s awesome Trudy. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for watching
Absolutely lovely. Maggie, I watch all your videos but don’t always leave a comment. Just been extremely crazy busy. Tfs
Hi Raquel, it was so nice to hear from you! So happy to know you enjoyed this project. It was really easy and a lot of fun to make. Thanks for always watching!
Using the pattern tracing wheel with the scoring board is brilliant.
Thanks! Glad you liked this idea. It works great. Thanks for watching
Great fun! Usually, the date stamps have blank spaces to make them easier to skip.
Hi Diana, you got me thinking. I’ll have to check mine to see if it has that blank space. Thanks for pointing that out. Now I’m curious. Lol
Thanks so much for watching
Awesome. I have always used the sewing wheel for making stamps but I never thought of using the scoreboard to make lines straight. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Donna, glad I was able to share something new. Thanks so much for watching
I love this! I’ve had that tool in my stash for years. Great video!
Thanks so much for watching
I love your take on this stamp and die set! I have been looking at it as well but just am not willing to spend that for it. I am really excited to go and try this now! Thanks for the idea! ❤
Hi Laurie, I’m glad you liked my version of the die set. Thanks so much for watching
These are so wonderful! I also used my paint chip books from Sherwin Williams and Behr to make stamps. They turned out really cool! The chips have the name and number of the paint but I just stamped right over it and they turned out great.
The paint chip idea sounds amazing! Gotta try that too. Thanks for the tip LuAnn
Oh Maggie you had me with the fleur de lis backdrop ❤❤❤❤ TYFS.
Thanks so much for watching Carrie
Hi, This my first time to find your channel. I love it. Great idea I will be making these. Thanks

Thanks so much for watching Barbara
Maggie, this is so cool! I need to order this little tool.
It would be so much fun to do flowers for spring/summer and maybe color them in with watercolors😯
I really Love the dotted line to take them apart and use them on tags etc ! Thank you so much!
I missed you yesterday for Tag Tuesday. I couldn’t find it. 😌🩵🩵🩵
Hi Laurie, so happy to hear you enjoyed this project. Super easy right? And so many possibilities.
I didn’t do a Tag Tuesday yesterday. Took the day off, but I’m glad you are enjoying those videos too. Thanks again Laurie for always supporting my channel.
Wow, I've got to try this! I have that sewing tool so I'm eager to try this out
TFS❤

Hi Robin, thanks so much for watching
Great idea! I love the way you use what you have. Thanks so much.
Where there is a will, there is a way. Lol
Thanks so much for watching Heather
Iv been looking for a perforating tool! I miss traditional stamps. I hate the postage stickers we have in Canada. We used to have great stamps. There might be scissors that do this but you need to cut stamps out. I like your tool.
Using what you have is the way to go.
Tim Holtz has a perforating tool. But I prefer the sewing tool since it pokes holes and not slits like the TH version. I also use thinning shears to cut some of my stamps. It gives it the torn edge look. Thanks for watching
Love the look of these! Thanks for pointing out the sewing wheel. I've been debating on getting the tool by Tim Holtz. I don't think I will now. Thanks!
Hi Katrina, for this project I do recommend the sewing wheel instead. Thanks for watching
Love using the rotary sewing tool. I have tried it but without using the scoring board. I have a score board, imagine a ruler would work as well. But the score board ridges are not as deep as doing it beside my ruler. I am so going to do this.
Hi Jackie, yes…a ruler would work too. Maybe you can achieve the same results if you used it along with a foam sheet under. I might have to try that too. :)
Thanks for watching
Thank you for a great idea for this newbie! ❤
Hi Linda, well from one semi-newbie to another…Happy Crafting! Thanks for watching :) Maggie
Maggie, flip that over and it kinda looks like Tim Holtz's metal embossing folder. Maybe another idea?
That’s a great idea. Thanks Tami
Way cool wish I had the score board
Thanks for watching Leota. The score board is fairly in expensive. I’m sure you can find one on Temu as well.
Great idea, Maggie! I love these! 👍❤️
Thanks so much for watching!
So awesome great job love how youdid the stamp the tear off
Thanks so much for watching Erlinda
Love these!!!
Thanks so much for watching Barbara
This is perfect! I've got the same tim holtz preforater and that 😅just cut the paper like it did for you. I bought some of the sewing tracing tools. I am not creative like you so i couldn't get around how to puncture the paper without bending it. The score board is perfect! I love your stamps thanks for sharing your technique and talents.
Hi DiAnna, thanks for watching. Glad to hear I was able to give you ideas on how to use the sewing tool.
Love this idea too!
Thanks so much for watching Christine. Glad you enjoyed it

Clever stamping
Thanks so much for watching Margaret
These look awesome XXX
Thanks for watching Taylor
I really like this idea. It looks stunning! I would like to try it, but I have very few stamps that would go with the postal theme. I wonder if I could make something similar with floral stamps and then grunge it up a bit and use it as loose pieces of ephemera in my junk journals... I will give it a try!😊 Thanks for sharing ❤
I think the nice thing about this project is that you can use whatever kind of stamps you have. I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed this video. Thanks so much for watching
Magnifique j'aime beaucoup !! bravo !!!

Thanks for watching Mallory
Where did u buy the tool to cut the paper or the name of it. Thank 🌻 u
The tool I used to perforate the paper is called a Sewing Tracing Wheel. Here is the link to my exact one if it helps:
