- Tema de Mazinger Z (Super Iron Man-Robot de las Estrellas) was composed by Wong Ku Yan-Sun Kong for the 1978 movie Mazinger Z . In Germany it's is a celebrated cult classic among fans of trash films.
The first track, simply entitled Tema de Mazinger Z (Super Iron Man-Robot de las Estrellas) 1. Part gets played a lot during the film and with its twangy guitars and catchy melody it'll stay in your head for a while.
The second track, Tema de Mazinger Z (Super Iron Man-Robot de las Estrellas) 2. Part, was not featured in the movie at all. It starts out funky, then changes to a western melody, only to become funky again before it turns into a slow and sad jazz.
By luck I had a chance to buy the 7" a few years ago and I'm really happy about it, because as "bad" as the film is, as good is the music!

Ich präsentiere euch die Filmmusik aus Roboter der Sterne! Vor ein paar Jahren fand ich zufällig auf einer spanischen Auktionsseite diese Single und habe natürlich sofort zugeschlagen, denn das Theme muss man einfach in voller länge hören!
Eine Überraschung ist für mich die B-Seite. Zum einen, weil sie aus 4 verschiedenen Teilen zu bestehen scheint, zum anderen, weil keiner davon im Film vorkommt.
Über den Komponisten Wong Ku Yan-Sun Kong konnte ich leider gar nichts herausfinden.

El robot se llama (MachBaron), fue una serie japonesa, q aprovecharon los españoles para aprovecharse de el parecido entre machbaron y mazinger z y vender una película llamada mazinger el robot de las estrellas y hacer una peli pirata

Los temas que suenan despues del tema principal, son de la serie Mazinger Z. En España no se distribuyo la banda sonora de Mazinger Z, sin embargo, esto no es del todo cierto, ya que este disco tiene varias canciones y por lo tanto si que se vendio la banda sonora, aunque fuera por esta pelicula.

E pensar que isso é apenas uma versão taiwanesa de Mach Baron. Os distribuidores não precisavam ter forçado a barra chamando de Mazinger…

And i remember there's a blog who describe this movie in detail. It said that this movie was a legit, co-operation with Japan.
