Haha! I totally forgot about this song; good choice. As far as I-75 itself, I can't even recognize the reconstructed portion that leads to the Ambassador Bridge. Great stuff by MDOT. Well, it's time for me to sleep, since it's 2:42 a.m. here, but I'll be sure to give this a "thumbs up" before I sign off.
Every time I watch this video, it builds up my inspiration and confidence to attempt to make this drive to (Detroit), to see my family members, this ride is so much fun to watch, even though it's a little outdated, the ride is still exciting. This is one of my most favorite videos, (GVJ)!!!!!
Your welcome, I'm just acknowledging the sensational work you do and requesting that you continue doing what you do, your videos help me to whine down mentally, driving long distance is what I love and you do that so masterfully. I am very honest in my comments about your beautiful work!! Keep On trucking Freewayjim!!
I appreciate your comments and encouragement very much James, thank you!

I live in Detroit but I most definitely love River Rouge! Especially Zug Island. My second fav is Ecorse! Representing Detroit but at the same time, Downriver for Life!
Fantastic, simply awesome! Your ability to feel the road and decide the best musical selection as we cruise, is phenomenal. You bring all of the dimensions together and allow us to feel everything your experiencing as you ride.. Awesome FreewayJim!!!
thank for comming Jim,our state has make great improvements of our freeways and clearview signs,and another bridge might be connected to i-75 as well in the future
Thanks at least for visiting an area I am well familiar with, as I also took that route before. Now, I hope you can come back here and hopefully do a night version of this video!
my home town! really cool recognizing certain marks such as 3:06 which was seen in the imported from detriot superbowl commercial. this is the first video i have seen and i wonder if youve ever been cut off in a video that would be funny
@Numenor65 Thank you for the compliments! No secrets, lol, the video software handles the sign graphics the same way it does photos and the map scans, it will import most photo/graphic file types (JPG, PNG, TIF and so on). Most video software packages that I know of have this capability, which is a basic function for the most part, the only ones that don't are usually very cheap or free!
@fgjr96way Thanks, I enjoyed my couple hours there. We ate dinner shortly after this video ended and filled up the tank so I was glad to drop a few $ in the local economy.
Good idea, the comparison between the road maps in past years and in present time, I find it extremely interesting! And of course, bravo! for the quality of the video end the excellent editing :-) BTW, I searched the internet over and over, but still can't understand if there is a specific software to superimpose the road signs to the video... Will you share your secret with me? :-P
And I forgot to mention this, you said a year ago on the I-96 video you didn't film Southgate and yet you did, you enter that city at 4:16 and stays there until the video ends!

I'm glad you enjoy this, I would like to go back to Detroit with my current filming gear someday but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Wow, I would have to ask you directions at least ninety seven times!
LOL, nah, it's not that bad.
Great ride through the Motor City, great footage and nice choice of music!

Thank you and I take a lot of pride in the music selections and how they fit the footage, it's always nice when someone recognizes it.
I live on the other side of the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor! I don't know if anyone noticed but Windsor is actually South of Detroit.
That was the last stretch of I-75 in Michigan that I used to escape MI for the last time. Good bye! Detroit/
thank for comming Jim,our state has make great improvements of our freeways and clearview signs,and another bridge might be connected to i-75 as well in the future

Thank you!
2:45 reminds me of I-10 in New Orleans east crossing the Industrial Canal.
Thanks at least for visiting an area I am well familiar with, as I also took that route before. Now, I hope you can come back here and hopefully do a night version of this video!
@FreewayBrent Thanks, glad you enjoyed it, and yes MDOT did a great job with that interchange.
This was once a good city. Good to see it in recovery mode
Thank you!
I'm a Detroiter all the freeways have been changed to LED lights.
Can't believe you got really close to my backyard in this one, I live just a few mile east of where this ends!
@ScrewdUPClickV2 Thanks and yes they did a great job with that.

If I-75 & I-96 shared the same pavement you would've said I-75 South & I-96 East - Mile 47
Awesome video and track!
@bsdpowa Thank you much!
I don't know the area well enough to be that precise.

@Crocfan20 Thank you!

@lilsweets4u22 Thank you much!
At 1:19 you can see Ford Field and Comerica Park!
I live in Northville by Detroit
At 3:48, my house is literally on the other side of that left wall.
@dave11686 Thanks!
@SCOTTLMCLEOD Go check ebay, you can get all the old maps you want there, ata decent price too, that's how I got mine.
@Freewayjim i just wish our gas was cheaper like the Southeastern States
@fgjr96way Yes, there is a noticeable difference there.
And I forgot to mention this, you said a year ago on the I-96 video you didn't film Southgate and yet you did, you enter that city at 4:16 and stays there until the video ends!
Funky, Funky, Funky!!! That's how FWJ does Dee-Troit, baby!!! :)
@codyg1985 Good comparison!
Jesus I won't bitch about my Michigan commute again.
From the map, seems not much change for half a century
@georgiaroadgeek Musical diversity lives here :)
@SCOTTLMCLEOD I have a collection.
