  • Karne Hesketh's try well after the 80th minute gave Japan an incredible 34-32 win against South Africa at Brighton Community Stadium on Saturday.
    フリカに 34 対 32 で勝ち、歴史的
The try came at the end of over six minutes of sustained Japan pressure on the Springbok line and gave the Brave Blossoms only their second-ever RWC victory. The previous win came against Zimbabwe in 1991.
South Africa scored four tries to three in an enthralling duel but the penalty kicking of Ayumu Goromaru kept Japan well in the match in the second half.
    FORWARDS BATTLE
Superb defence and a commitment to match the big South African pack meant Japan only trailed the Springboks 12-10 after a forwards battle in the first half, but the game inevitably opened up after the breakand developed into one of the most dramatic upsets of Rugby World Cup history.

When I watch this excellent video from the country where I am, in France, the title appears translated as "Pays de Galles V Uruguay" (which means in English "Wales V Uruguay").
Is there any way to rectify this error, please?

I watched this game in a pub in Cardiff and I remember making my way back to my table from the bar when I saw Japan wasn't taking the penalty kick. I stopped mid stride and stood there, pint in hand, in the middle of the pub, staring at the screen. When Japan scored that last try the entire place exploded. There was cheering, beer flying everywhere, people were hugging each other, it was like Wales had just won the world cup. Coming to that though, it wasn't just welsh fans. People in Irish jerseys, English jerseys, even a couple Australian jerseys, everyone was cheering like their own team had won. And in a way I think they did. Japan played a beautiful 85 minutes of rugby. The kind of rugby that's become rare since the golden age of rugby in the 1970s - fast, loose, dynamic attack paired with a never-say-die attitude, of course made all the sweeter when part of an underdog story. What a moment for Rugby, what a moment for sport, what a moment for Japan, what a moment for the world. Congrats Japan; I hope to see you do it at home this world cup, even if you do it against Wales ;)

You could see them getting stronger and stronger as the game went on with the support from the crowd. I went today and was at the North end in the perfect spot to watch that final try. One of the best games of Rugby I have ever watched. A life lesson to all, every time SA scored Japan never gave up. The longer the match went on the belief was that they could win, and they did. The neutral fans got behind them, the South African supporters could not believe what they were seeing. The organisers prior to game did not rate that match as tickets were £20. Just shows how with self belief you can achieve anything.

Why wont people look at other aspects of the Japanese abilities? They have a Super Rugby winning scrumhalf, Yamada and Matsushima are in the extended squads of Australian Super Rugby Teams, Shota Horie had a good run with the Melbourne Rebels. These are important points to note as well. Way to go Japan! Azn pride!

One simple word from the commentator: "Japan!!" as Goromaru dived over the line and got the try before the last one! Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand!
and the sound of the crowd on the winning try, sounds like most of the neutrals ending up cheering for Japan! Emotional game , what a moment for Rugby history , let alone Japanese Rugby history!
