I'm seriously thinking about going into tech sales in particular sales engineering. I like and respect how you keep it 1000 out here in these tech sales streets.
You're transparency stands out. I'm sure alot of the course is dry 😂. Keep sharing the game..
Go Lakers. I want to see them as well but it's gonna be hard road against the Nuggets.
Anyway I'm glad you always dropping a weekly update. I found your channel today. A new subscriber

Yeah, bro, a lot of people are getting that bag in tech so who not 🚀 I appreciate your feedback too… it’s good to know it’s relatable.
You’re right about Denver... I like our chances as long as AD stays healthy and does what he needs.
      Thanks for the support 🥶

$5,000 is wild! Especially considering other opinions, but it’s better than most traditional paths. I’m just glad most people do their research 🧐 Thanks for the support tho 🚀

If you’re trying to do sales engineer your literally signing up for technical. The SDR/AE route is not technical at all though

I expect some technical but I don't know how much compared to a traditional engineer.
So far it seems like it can vary depending on the company.
Are you currently a Sales Engineer?

@@goatf0rm in a startup sometimes they have me solution architect and literally design the infrastructure sometimes I do the presale and explain the infrastructure, benefits etc. Both have to know how the product can be incorporated with their current system to solve the business problem. 9 outta 9 it’s either working with a crm or something in the cloud so learning salesforce and/or cloud would probably be beneficial. And holding out for a bigger company to show you the ropes would great too since you gotta learn their specific technology which is always changing so you constantly learn. Either way you’ll be trained for a couple months by a company if they see you have the aptitude to learn. Just having the foundational certs can check off some hr things and show you have the ability to grasp it. The cloud foundations course is about 18 hours takes 3-4 days and is simple for ppl with no tech exp I didn’t have any.

@@Pharaohinthecut Salesforce is something I'm planning too. Is there a particular cloud foundation course you would recommend? Did you complete a tech course prior to you current position? If so, how long before you landed your role? I appreciate all the insight you've shared/ are sharing!

@@goatf0rm I accelerated through a IT degree at WGU in one semester 3500 but financial aid paid for most of it. And connected with people to ask how the interviews are and to learn how to give demos.. I didn’t go but I believe careerist shows you a brief overview of stuff like that.
But AWS or Azure, AWS offers free training all the time. You can use trailhead and use a sales engineering trail just get some certification And also you could go to AfroTech in Austin this November many people in our community get multiple job offers on the spot without doing 4 rounds of interviews. Just have to practice your pitch and interview skills.

4500 for this course I don’t have that type money the reason I need a job

Understandable. There are other alternatives I’ll post a video about that soon.
