- Whats good my friends, today getting some big piles of moss off this roof.
Moss growth is heavily dependent on the area and specifically the type of trees growing nearby.
This roof had a birch or ash tree removed close to it and it left some gnarly moss behind!
Took a couple treatments but we should be good to go and the homeowner was happy.

You have a kid bro! You should really be harnessing now, I never used a harness until a coworker of my uncle passed away. He did roofs for over 20 years! Sh*t can happen to anyone, once you get the hang of it the mount install only takes 5 minutes plus sometimes, I charge an extra $100 to leave the roof anchor there for other contractors future uses
There is no way it’s feasible or time smart on a easy pitch like the one he is on.
It’s a two story roof and s somewhat steep pitch. One wrong step or miscalculation is all it takes and your paralyzed, shattered a leg, arm or any other injury that can possibly put you out long term

Starts at $200 usually around that mark and I'll add a basic roof cleaning for $100
so 200 including the basic roof cleaning and the gutter cleaning right

When you are using bleach wouldn't you have someone spray water on the surrounding plants?
Usually yes but I did a very light amount only on the affected areas
I really have to express my concerns about using bleach for roof cleaning as shown in this video. While it might be effective at removing moss and stains, the ecological impact is just too significant to ignore.
I probably used 4 gallons of bleach total, not a big deal at all
The final result in some of those areas looks awful. I’d be pretty unhappy if after a roof cleaning my roof had dead white moss in some areas.
Stop hating is part of the process
As long as you explain and let the customer know there is zero way to remove without damaging the roof

You can use a more firm brush to get the details of that moss out, without damaging the shingles.
Be my guest 😂 I’ve cleaned nearly 2,000 roofs that stuff was not coming off
dont... moss is awsome, it looks better then shingles, its better for the environment, and and is just better.

This was a sodium percarbonate mix but you can also use zinc and laundry detergent as well
