George Strait if definitely called the King of Country. Garth is totally different.. I've seen them both in concert.. Garth is an entertainer.. George is just KING George.. Alan Jackson is up there too.. in the late 80's and 90's these guys ruled.. but my Pop-Pop raised me on old country.. I love it all... I don't truly think I could ever pick a favorite. Just blessed to have seen many in concert and love them all.. and let's not forget about the amazing WOMEN of country music..

Saw George Straight in 2015 at the super dome in New Orleans. My number one of all time that I wanted to see live. He stood center stage for 2 and a half hours with his guitar and sang everyone's favorite songs. He did that in his late 60s no breaks. That's why he is the king and also the goat
George will be 72 in May and he still looks great and sounds great. He's one of our state treasures. George is married to his high school sweetheart.

King George has also been around the longest, so both he & Garth are GOAT's. Geroge has over 60 #1hit singles & is still recording & touring. I love one he did years after this one, called 'Troubadour' (A traveling entertainer/poet). The song is great & the video is cool, cuz he is reflecting on his life & it has clips of his career & also from his rodeo days.
Garth Brooks is a great entertainer, but George Strait is the GOAT and the King; 60+ #1 hits! And he's a decent guy. Married his high school sweetheart in 1971, and they are still together. I can't think of any sort of scandal ever associated with George.
