Hereâs a theory for you: Starting with 3x10, Brainiac 5 is probably going to be Karaâs rebound, and then weâll probably find out that Mon-El and Imra arenât really married, Imra just made Mon-El lie to everyone with her mind manipulation powers so that heâd stay on task with their mission to fight Reign (cause whenever Kara leaves a room looking sad, both of them look REALLY guilty) so that heâs not focused on Kara, which would mean that Imra forced Mon-El to kiss her, but Imra just did that because she wants Kara and Mon-El to be happy together, because if the mission fails, Kara is still dead. Therefore, Imra is a Karamel shipperđ And then Kara will dump Brainiac 5, marry Mon-El, theyâll have the perfect children, and theyâll live happily ever after! The End. Thatâs my theoryđđŒ Letâs see if Iâm close!

I don't watch this series much, but I really *like* the personality that they have given Clark/Superman.
Right? Having had to endure Tyler's scowling in Teen Wolf, I feel both cheated and impressed. Cheated because Derek was never allowed to be this charming and impressed because Tyler pulled off the angry-brooding persona so well for so long.
Honestly, the shows ok, gets hyper-political in Season 4. But Winns character is amazing and for me single-handedly bumps the show from a 6/10 to 7/10.

He wasn't cut from the show, he left on his own terms to go back to Broadway for a little while. He and his wife also just had a baby so he has her now too. But I've heard he's going to be making appearances next season and I hope it's true because I miss my geeky lil smol bean.
Winn is a better character than James đ
To be fair, the writers never seemed to know what to do with James. Winn is better written and portrayed by Jeremy Jordan, one of the most talented, charming, and charismatic actors I've ever seen. Even when Winn didn't have much to do, Jeremy stole whatever scene he was in. I did like James as Guardian. However, once they wrapped that storyline up, they didn't do anything else with him. James and Lena made an interesting couple in theory, but the actors themselves didn't have very good chemistry. I do like Mehcad, though, and would like to see him in something else.

Actually Kal is both older and younger than Kara if you think about in the pilot she was 12 Kal was a baby but she got stuck in the phantom zone while Kal fell to earth 12 years later when she fell he grew up to be Superman while she was still 12
It's too bad they so significantly changed Superman's personality in Superman and Lois. Also, it just occurred to me, and my question is probably based on ignorance due to the fact I never actually watched the show much, but does Winn, who hangs out with Supergirl all the time, utterly geek out like that over just another Kryptonian with the same powers? Also, nice reference to the first Christopher Reeve movie when he asks about the earthquake.

I love this show, but this is the one aspect I just don't get. Like, OK, Jimmy Olsen is usually her love interest in the comics, but they wanted to make their version of him different, so they turned him into James. Cool, I liked James from the start, he was a good contrast to Kara. But then why have another character (Winn) who's basically just the old version of Jimmy, who ALSO loves Kara?!?
Something tells me that if he had to pick, he would be all over Superman in two nanoseconds, leaving Kara behind without so much as an afterthought.
Modern concept of superhero TV shows needs an ensemble cast to help the hero.
Movies are still a little different in that the hero can still mostly be by himself, maybe 1 sidekick or civilian helper. But somehow, TV superheroes need a whole lot of people helping out the hero.
As for why? This character plays the deus ex machina character without making it seem like deus ex machina. He comes up with all the plans and ideas for things that didn't exist before or that will help in that current week's episode, but doesn't really get the credit for it. So he's still just a little less than a sidekick instead of one of the reasons the heroes make it through their villain's villainy.

I donât love the writing, the points it tries to make are a little too on the nose and unnuanced, but the actors are all great, possible exception being that Benoist and all her love interests thus far have like no chemistry.
I don't know about all the other love interests but I saw the episodes where they tried to have her and Jimmy be together, and it was just so forced that even the writers tossed that idea soon after.
