Thank's for your videos MDawg. I just bought the Regal and have only used it for trolling so far, but i´m very happy. I'm saving up for my first pilker-rod for Norway. I will get the cheap 3500 first, then I will save silver for a better one.
After this and other videos you've posted, I decided to go with the Rigal/Sensi combo as my first saltwater setup. I had a hard time choosing the Sensi over the Jig & Pilker because it would have been nice to have a bit more buffer on the rod (maybe just mentally) and other than unlocking abilities sooner, I'm not sure what, if any effect 5% has on actual fishing. But in the end I figure I'll do a 55kg leader like you and it should be fine. After a looong carp grind at Bear Lake, I'm finally headed out to sea. So excited! Thanks for posting these videos. They really do help! **Update - so my very first outing I hook into a 31kg Porbeagle at the 41m bank...... LOL. I managed to get it in but had to play friction-lock games with it to keep it from spooling me. Those are wicked fighters. I felt like you when you landed that big Greenland shark.... on a much, much smaller scale, hehe. Very profitable first outing but holy crap I hope I don't need to deal with more of those anytime soon. I was hoping to stock up on Saithe for fillets but I barely got any - shark instead! Btw I only watched your shark video yesterday. Without seeing how you did it, I probably would have been screwed. Never fought a fish like that before.
Hey i love your vedio and tips...i have suggestion can you do a content hat you hunt all trophy fish in every maps cuz is more like adventure and more fun is same.....like norling gaming doing right now and is fun series😂 to watch i hope you can do that to....
Hi MD, thx for the video. Much appreciated. I'm new to RF4, playing a couple of months. After coming across Kiltedjock spreadsheet with the reels Mech weight assisting me now to make better decisions when buying my next reel and it works really good in game. I fish IRL and know that you want a reel that has strong internal mechanisms so it last long and handle the fish better when well balanced with the rest of your fishing gear.
i love the rigel so far and i did wear it down like 8% and its still kicking :D cods are a real issue still for me since i only have 60% marine fishing so i cant use anything else besides normal jig montage but as long its not like a 40kg plus cod you can do it, it will give you lots of heartattacks for sure but you can get 30+kg cod out with this setup. cant w8 for a bigger setup so i can do a little payback on the cods :D
@@MDawgGaming 15kgbrake but 76kg mech, tiny spool but shouldn't matter if locked I'm thinking. Got it for jerkbait, it isn't salt rated but I have no idea the actual impact that has.
@@MDawgGaming Ok I got the Poseidon rod and did 2 hours, nothing over 10kg came up just pirking on a lurker at 34. Damage wasn't too bad, maybe 1.5% to grease, the rest is what i'd expect hauling in fish max speed locked up.

the 35kg or so improved max drag on the taiga makes that seem a better choice in my opinion

You woukd have been better off with the taiga but rigal is not bad

Could I use my ZM4 Z50? If I'm locked and only doing the shallower holes
I would need to look at specs of that reel but you can do most things if you are careful
