Trains at: Hemel Hempstead, WCML, 10/10/16

- A brilliant afternoon spent at Hemel Hempstead on the West Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from Virgin Trains, London Midland, Southern and freight from GBRF, Freightliner and DRS.
Hemel Hempstead is a brilliant station to film at, you get amazing views of the line going north and south which in turn gives you plenty of time to get yourself organized if you wanted to get a particular shot. But I do highly recommend this station to anyone who hasn't been here before. My next film is from Apsley.

If you want to get the bus from Northampton or Leighton Buzzard to Stevenage this is the place to go to.
St Albans is a good station. I trainspotted there recently and there were lots of freight trains because of engineering work
I wasn't able to catch any freight when I was there but I still got some great footage

I've actually never gone into the town properly, just driven through it every now and again. I've actually spent more time at the station.

Just a 350/1? Surely you would've caught the other 2 series of trains aswell by now

Aggghhhhh, 350234, the 350/2 which disguises itself as a 350/1
That still confuses me to this day lol
Tornado922 350/2 has 2+3 seating Black and yellow gangway door green seats and is newer
There is a 350/2 unit that still looks like a 350/1 from the outside, I know the interior of the 350/1, 350/2 and the 350/3.
They all have their own characteristics, the newer models have a higher top speed
I know I can get there from Stevenage by bus.

At 22:42 that 350 is very fast
They work this route at around 100/110mph
Why does southern have such infrequent serves 2 trains per hour different ways
They have access rights to run one train every hour from East Croydon to Milton Keynes Central
