Personally, I don't like the contrast of the "wood" Brown color and the black and green color scheme. I think I might spray paint it

I like the look. It looks like an old weapon that was deteriorating and had to be fixed up and you don’t have old style materials.
i like the idea of adding wood coloring to blasters but not with neon yellow

I personally don't hate it, but it's not the most pleasant color scheme to look at that's for sure. I think they should have gone with a more normal color like white or gray to replace the lime. Or do away with the wood color altogether and put black or dark gray. Or do away with both and make it a more normal Nerf color scheme like the N-Strike or N-Strike Elite. If someone did a custom N-Strike color scheme I'd buy that in a heartbeat, I love the yellow iterations of that series. Whiteout would also be super sick for this gun as well. Put a barrel mod on it so it can shoot microdarts and bam! Awesome blaster idea imo. What would you do to it Schnitzel?

Man, if I already didn't have a Takedown with a pistol grip and stock adaper, I'd pick this up in a heart beat.
That takedown kit is really cool though. Not sure I’d trade a Saturn for that either.

I feel like the stock is so disproportionately short that it looks kinda like the Buzzbee Thermal Hunter proportions wise

Yeah, I guess it isn't nearly as ridiculous as the Thermal Hunter/Interceptor, but as you said, it could be a little longer.

@@AmericanFoam I started a Nerf competition in my neighborhood, I used the Kronos as my primary but I’m making a switch to the Saturn. All my friends and I meet up almost every day just to fight, it’s really fun.
Nice in depth review as always! I would have liked to see a size comparison to the takedown though...
I held off on getting the takedown....might have to pick up the Saturn...if only it was $30-$35, $40 just seems like a little to much.

Reminds me of my Remington a lot. Got a Magpul stock set and a quad rail.
If I got this, I'd probably carve up a real wood stock set, just so it looks and feels better, but that'd take a good bit of work. Especially if you incorporate the original locking mechanism.

I just received mine today and I’m totally in love with it. Have you noticed if yours can actually take more than the 10 rounds as described? I can do 11 and 12 is pushing it.

There’s an added bit of functionality which is you can muzzle load an extra round or two and shoot it as a shotgun
I like how to my right theres the stampede its my fav gun yea it may not shoot good but its fun to just play with
also do shotgun stock pads work on it? to get a bit more length out of it since it looks close to real ish shotguns when looking at the stock...

Would be good if u modified the stock since its kind of short and it would be cool if u try make it a magazine fed shotgun that can take shorten darts. Also the shooting target is a cleaver idea in my opinion
Just wondering, how is it compared to the Hypnos and X-shot Orbit for volume and prime feel? I ask with those two as examples because they seem to be opposites of one another. Hypnos is loud and clunky whereas the Orbit has a nice pop and really smooth prime.
Regardless, I thank you for putting this on my radar. Its another shotgun that I need to get for my collection... Even though it desperately needs a repaint.
I'd love to see a stock-less version of this with just a handle.

It’s a TetraStrike from buzz bee. It has an air tank and can either fire all four at once if you fully pull the trigger or fire semi auto if you half pull the trigger each time. Pretty sweet for an older blaster if you ask me.

This is the best blaster overall that nerf has ever brought to the market. It looks totally badass. Has a good ammo system(darts get crunched easily) and has a shotgun frame with slamfire. What more do you want? I will totally get this thing over a CEDA no question about IT.

Big profile for relatively low capacity. But its form factor is very nice looking, and pump action is cool. Slamfire is always nice in a springer, but this wont replace something like an Artemis

i find it wierd at that short range it can't compensate for the wind itself when you were shooting the reactive targets because of the 96 fps average...

It's such a shame the Edge series hasn't come out in the UK at all. It has produced some of the most exciting looking blasters yet!
This needs a sword type bayonet and you have “American jumps into german trench,slam fires five shots into german infantry section,and gets another one on the bayonet.” Vibes

Love the blaster, hate the accuracy. That’s definitely one of the coolest looking blasters I’ve ever seen, I just wish it was a mag fed elite blaster instead of Rival.

It does look pretty awesome. If you painted the neon parts and stock in either a flat black or gunmetal gray, it may look pretty sweet.
