Dude, you're a great guitar player! You definitely got my sub! Anyways, you've probably been asked this before. How do you drop the volume of the guitars in the song while keeping the other instruments higher? Especially from a fully compressed MP3? Or do you just up your guitars track volume higher than the rest of the song in general?
Thank you very much! I just turn the down the volume of the song, and turn up my guitar volume. The guitar sound has alot to say also. I usually set my tone to something that cuts through the other instruments. It's easy with Babymetal because the guitar isn't that loud, at least not in this song.

Thank you! I did NOT make this tab, and I didn't play it 100% the same either. I modified it a little. The only tabs I've written for Babymetal is Ijime, Dame, Zettai and Akatsuki. I will try both Akumu no Rondo and Catch Me If You Can eventually! :)

On the other hand, this is one of their least technical songs of all, (Kind of boring, really.) I don't even know why Gimme Choco got way more popular than their other, more technical and better composed songs, like "Megitsune", "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", "Headbanger" or hell, even "Catch Me If You Can". It must be the chocolate...
Thank you! You're right, it's not one of their most technical songs, but I actually think the solo in this is a little harder than "Ijime, Dame Zettai". Might be becuase I'm not used to play solos like this. But it's harder to play than "Megitsune" which is one of their easiest songs.
It's probably so popular because it's a little weirder than the other songs. Especially the verse. The chorus is also extremely catchy. It also got a lot of attention because of CZcamsrs React. And probably becuase of the chocolate :p
You are right, it is catchy as hell :) And CZcamsrs React had a lot to do with it, I'm sure, but that also featured "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!", and those didn't receive anywhere near the popularity in comparison. It must be chocolate then :D
Also, it seems strange to me you said this is harder to play than IDZ and Megitsune. (Did you listen to the "Nemesis" version of IDZ? It has Chris Amott from Arch Enemy on guitar! /watch?v=22jm5hiRh7I ) I admit I don't play the guitar myself, so I defer to your judgment on this one, but I do make music, and the overall composition in Megitsune and especially IDZ sound way more detailed and elaborate. Maybe because they are more melodic or something, I don't know.
Playbahnosh The "Nemesis" version is definitely harder yes, but the most known version is easier. I agree the composition is better on those songs. Gimme Chocolate is just a standard thrash metal song, with a poppy chorus and a Slayer-ish solo. The meldodic part probably has something to do with it, and yes IDZ consists of so many more nuances. A lot more riffs, more variation, piano break in the middle. More technical rhythm playing as well. Akatsuki is also very cool, which I think is one of my favorite guitar songs from them at the moment along with Akumu no Rondo. The rhythm playing in Akumu no Rondo is so sick! I'm more a rhythm player so I really like stuff like that.
Playbahnosh Also I think Gimme Chocolate got more attention than "Doki Doki Morning" and "line!" becuase Gimme Chocolate is more "metal". It's more of a shock. But the hip hop break in "line!" that suddenly goes over to metal is pretty weird as well! I guess we'll never know the answer, but we'll say it's the chocolate! XD
***** Oh yes, Akumo no Rondo is a masterpiece, it's an absolute face-flaying death metal base combined with a mellow ballad that shows off Suzuka's voice spectacurarly with it's unusual vocal range and many sustained notes. That, along with Akatsuki, which is a straight up power-ballad, are the best solo tracks for lead. Su is like a goddess on stage when she performs them
You're playing 10.0 guitar and shooting all that great action with a 1.0 camera so sucks it was grainy on my mobile phone is it too much to ask if you could buy a better camera. To reach a level of Master like that would be fulfilling for me I hope to reach sometime in the future, notice I didn't say near.I will use your vids to keep me inspired and trudging onward on my fingertip shredding muscle memory journey.
