This is a highly rated fusion drummer absolutely killing it. Perhaps some of the ideas are a bit beyond your understanding or enjoyment, but to call it off is a bit silly! Definitely check out Gergo Borlai's other stuff. I would assume you're talking about stuff like around the 4:19 mark for example, which is some mental metric modulation he's throwing in, inspired by the licks Guthrie is playing. In short, yeah it's just you 😂
What is the drummer doing….. it’s not a drum fill if it’s not surrounded on both sides by grooving in the pocket… he kinda settles around the 2/3 mark 3/4 mark (much better) but dude did no one inform this guy that Guthrie would be taking the solos¿ sorry if I’m being a dick but this song is plenty busy even when everyone stays in their lane.
How cool is, to see a high emotional solo with such a perfect control of technic and timing... Guthrie you're fantastic!
