- In this video I show you how to fix a Starlink cable and the same method can be used to extend it. The waterproof coupler I use in this video means the cable can be safely repaired or extended with just a few tools.

that was helpful! thanks mate! cheers from Ukraine
No problem! Hope things aren’t too bad over there 🇺🇦 Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing. Is it necessary to extend the grounding wire? Will a UTP Cat5 cable work, or is an FTP cable necessary?
Its best to extend the grounding wire in my opinion but it will work without it.
Thanks for watching!
Hi, just wondering if I can do the above method and couple two 50FT Starlink cables into one?
Hi, yes I don’t see why not. Should work fine.
Great, wil this still carry the power (PoE) needed to move the Starlink dish?
Yes it will.
Thanks
Good video. What happens with the grounding wire? Does the coupler bridge it. Btw I always put the plastic sleeves on first before crimping the cable so you don’t have to fiddly about with the blue split rubber thingy (technical term :-)
The coupler had shielded connectors. So if the drain wire is properly connected on the cable, the coupler should bridge it just fine.
Yep as has been said the grounding wire will work as the coupler is shielded.
can you connect starlink cable cat6 with cat5e?
I’m not sure what you mean, but you can use Cat5e and Cat6.
work with gen 3 starlink?
and can you use cat5e
Not sure about Gen3, does it say on the cable. Yes you can use Cat5e as the Starlink cable is Cat5e. Should probably be shielded though.
@@home.network.solutions btw does your power supply crackling sound? and is it normal? mine does
