I love this song because it implies that Ridge Racer is some legendary racing entity that just shows up. Especially after winning with the French team, it fits perfectly.
The Ridge Racer is the racer’s version of the pilot’s Razgriz from the same universe.

16 years after discovering this game's soundtrack and it still stands the test of time. Despite Ridge Racer V's rock-heavy influence, I feel like this jazz, d&b, house, and hip hop incorporations in R4 is still the series' boldest soundtrack direction and the payoff is literally legendary.

I like how it’s all in house music. A lot of games don’t go through the same effort and just take pre existing music.
I've only seen EA sports games and maybe GTA do that. Most games still have original music.
Well, that's how it used to be for the longest time. Nowadays original music barely shows up in games unless it's a copy-pasted cinematic score with Inception horns thrown in for good measure.
Oldschool NFS has good in house-composed electronic bangers too, I think it's comparable with Ridge Racer in terms of musical quality

I was just listening to "Urban Fragments" and thought, if Persona 5 ever gets a racing spinoff, it would fit as a theme. Same for this one!
