Smoking has always added an "edge" to my voice when I'm singing that isn't normally there, so it doesn't surprise me at all that he does that. I do it all the time for the same reason.

Adoro Ville Valo di quegli anni coi Him, credevo addirittura fosse un vampiro, di una bellezza disarmante quando aveva all'incirca 20 anni fino a 30-31 come in sta performance, quando ancora vestiva dark gothic e gia' allora fumava e beveva durante i concerti, una voce strepitosa e uno stile dato da un Dio.. Funeral heart è sempre stata una delle mie canzoni preferite della band, dopo questa performance e il modo in cui è riuscito a gestire la situazione, wow.. tanto di cappello!! Non avevo mai visto prima sta live, Avevo una cotta pazzesca a 20 anni x lui, ora ne ho 45 e la cotta pazzesca si è riavvivata.. grande Ville, pagherei oro x un nuovo concerto insieme alla band X rivivere quei giorni di gloria, anche se ad oggi sembra sia ripulito dall'alcol non smetterei comunque di adorare i suoi album e performance varie, alcol, sigarette e quant'altro fan parte di lui ed è inconfondibile..

It's not an easy thing to be a well known musician/band.
When I was younger I wanted to have a band, I wanted to be perform and create music. I even started to write songs for the band but then I crushed that dream of mine for many reasons.
Now when I look back, if I were in a band I would probably at some point destroy myself , sad but true.
This hitting scene hurt me a lot, I can't handle to see such a behaviour.
So many beautiful moments but this especially blows me away.

I know you asked it quite some time ago but somebody threw the can and it hit his eyes that's why he says "we have to disadvantage for not seeing you properly" and then about picking up the fight. That's why he was pretty pissed off and leaving from the stage. You can see it better (that he was hit by something) if you watch the video/ the part on slow motion.
