Fr, I used to love it so much! Role-playing, fun trading, nice people, Actually a fun game!! But now everything is overpriced :( I was not able to afford anything anymore and I eventually stopped playing way before unicorns and dragons, i didn't even know they exsist!!!

And then they forget that there’s dragon wing items, unicorn horns, GLOWING WOLVES, and PHANTOMS and so many things that are the same (or similar) -- not being realistic. And that’s alright, because animal jam is meant to be fun!!

I actually saw someone comment on aj's blog saying how it's unrealistic and unfactual, when aj literally puts facts on the dragons and unis adoption certificates, and I believe in jamma journal too! Like I personally believe dragons were real but went extinct, but that they aren't what we picture them to be.

Aj is just now trading and shopping and buying nowadays, I miss when you could just hang out with your friends, and the old trading system was better( not that I was rare though ) but aj should add stuff that people want to buy real money with.

I genuinely hate animal jam now. EVERYTHING is gambling. 5$ for a wish coin that will give you something ugly. So you pay again, and again.
They also have you pay 1 extra wish coin for each customization feature, which you have very little control over, the most control you get is picking from a pallet. Also, it can’t guarantee what you get. You may want a lavender and white dragon with eyelash eyes and moth wings, but you instead get eyelash eyes, regular wings, royal purple, and light grey. See what I mean? GAMBLING
I dont hate it... but I WISH THEY NEVER DID THAT! FR. I just avoid the whole "party items, galaxy items, glacier items, and dragons" and junk. I MISS BEFORE ALL THAT CRAP. WHEN ITEMS HAD REGULAR VALUE.

Most people just distinguish them due to their modified scales and endothermic features. Not all reptiles are ectotherms however. For example Leatherback Sea Turtles are also endothermic.
Before dragons were added, I didn’t really care about them, I was happy for others but I knew I would most likely be very not interested in them, but after I completely changed my mind, I love dragons SO much 😅 crazy how fast opinions can change
I actually spent 448 sapphires on 2 dragons I bought from the explorer a few days ago. Yes, they're not like super rare angelic monochrome colors, but they were actually somewhat decent and going for a low price. Some people are really taking it to the extreme, and I've seen some pretty bad colors going for like 5k even if they didn't have a special effect. Its even hard to obtain even 1 or wish coins alone. I tried to trade an alpha chest for some coins and people kept lowballing. Generally alpha chests go for around 11-14k sapphires so it would make sense to get at least 10 for one, right? Apparently, not, I guess, because people just want an insane over trade. 😒

Not just dragons! The inclusion of the fantasy animals being used in gambling techniques! It’s a feature that’s gotten people addicted to the game! Not to mention the my shops and explorer add to that with how popular the fantasy animals are!

My parents are too paranoid to buy anything (especially my dad) from any company, essentially, so I can't get any unicorn or dragon unless I use sapphires.
Now nobody wants unicorns. They don’t have the same value they used to. 2 unicorns are worth 1 okay dragon.

I love these changes to AJ too! I started playing in 2018 and didn't have much hope for the game around 2020 - 2022 because it felt a little boring, but I feel like they've made great decisions more recently and kept a lot of their players active! Also, I also like how since the My Shop explorer was released, people have been worthing items in Sapphires instead of "3.5 forest" or whatever. I used to trade a lot and I feel like this makes things a lot more fair for newer players who like trading! Kind of like the point you made about how a new player can easily get a good dragon and make a lot of sapphires. Anyway, sorry that was a lot haha, thanks for another great video Leamon! :D

I started playing in 2019 and I stopped being super active in 2022
I have a Trex pet that was level Four at the time, two people came up to me wanting my pet and were willing to trade a dragon for it. I politely declined since at the time. I didn't have a 'my shop' an i mostly got my sapphires through the games as prizes, so i took pride in my little dino.
I’ve hated the animal jam economy, so the new system of dragons makes me so happy.
If Griffin's are gonna be added I can tell there's gonna be another place for them on the aj map

Been selling any wish coins I get because of how ridiculous the odds are
no dude literally just buying the 5 wishcoin pack from the premium shop and selling them all literally gives you so many more sapphires than buying the 40 dollar sapphire option that only gives you around 2 thousand sapphires. I got like 10 dragons with decent-good colors and still kept most of the sapphires I had gotten.
I had always expected them to add dinosaurs at some point ever since the addition of the direwolf, and the sabertooth tiger, which both went extinct around the same time, so it wasn’t surprising for me when dinosaurs came around. As for the Dino models, I think they’re somewhat accurate. Being into paleontology myself and having an obsession over it, (yes they are still deemed as animals btw), I take a liking to the dinosaur models. I think their most accurate one should have to be the triceratops, minus the fact that two of the horns are on the neck frill, which is inaccurate. And I like the variety too, and their parasaurolophus is just a chef’s kiss, it’s better than the Rex, and the Rex is not very accurate to what we know about them know (search up Sue the T.Rex). Now the unicorns and dragons, were mind boggling for me to see added. I just want them to add bearded dragons 😭🙏

Hey Leamon!! Today I thought of an update idea of AJPW, imagine if there was a super box that could make any item with the word "Wings" fly? That would be really cool! Imaging flying with Dragon Wings on an Arctic Wolf?
in my opinion, i think the pet adoption token totally ruined pet worth (the eggs and wish tokens are fine as they give u unique pets). before the adoption token you would have to work up to getting the pets u wanted and trade and color swap for colors you liked. now all you have to do for a pet you want is find a really cheap token pet in someones shop and buy it. also if you want to get a good looking, non token pet thats fairly rare the only ones you will be able to find on the explorer are usually badly colored and almost always token. so that makes it hard to find actually good pets and most shops are just overrun by token pets with ugly colors.

As much as I LOVE dragons (I'm a big Wings of Fire fan) This feature isn't really good for me. I advertised some Blackout Glasses for like 3500 sapphires and for some people that's a good deal. But with everyone being so caught up with dragons and wish tokens no one bought the glasses. I actually LOWERED them to like 3k which as a non member barely even gave me anything. The other thing is I can afford buying wish tokens for irl money but because of strict parents I'm not allowed at ALL. I couldn't even buy the wishing tokens or dragons because I had no sapphires which was the reason I tried selling glasses. Another worst part is no one wants to trade regular items with me It's always "My trade for a good colored dragon!" or "Selling dragons and wish coins! Selling fast!!" It's literally been a week and no one has traded me. In case anyone is wondering I'm keeping the glasses at this point since no one is buying them. I love the new update and all but its giving people that cant buy wish coins or dragons a really hard time.

Dragons would have been my 11 year old self’s dream, it’s still amazing. I will never buy any of them from the wishing well though since I can pick a dragon that I love without gambling my real money or wasting my sapphires. At this point I just play for fun, not to trade up or get rarer. Today I got a beautiful yellow, magenta, and dark purple dragon for only about 150 sapphires

I had an odd experience with the dragons. I wanted one with a very specific look, so paid sapphires to buy a bunch of tokens from other players. Got very lucky and found someone selling coins for 500 each. So I spent the coins and immediately got a legendary. Which was really cool, but also not what I was looking for. (I decided to raise it.) So I went back to saving up saphs to buy more tokens. Tried again. This time I got one with rare wings, which is also really cool. Thing is, wingless was a trait that was at the top of my list (plus, I accidentally had two of the colors switched). So back again I went to buying more coins. Finally, the third one came out how I wanted. All of this was done as a strictly FTP player.
Honestly, outside of obvious predatory gambling issue, my main gripe with the dragons is the fact almost everyone abandoned the dungeon crawling mini game.

Once, i was with my bff, sophie. On ajpw ofc. Then my friend said, "Do u wanna play aj?" I said yes. I went into my den, and then sophie entered. She said she had to use the bathroom, though? I said in chat, "Are u done?" She said, "No, " i was like, Huh?? Then my friend texted me, "im done, I'll go in your den now." i said in chat, "WHO ARE YOU?" Then she said,"im you. " Then my real bff joined... then she said, "Who is she?" The clone said, "im you." Then i locked my den.. then the game crashed, and i went back into the game. Then my avatar was all red, and i kept saying, "fun fun fun." i didn't even type anything, then i called sophie she said,"Uninstall the game. " i did what she asked. And then snapchat closed, and i keep getting notifications saying "installing image.dead.girl.living.room." My tablet died even though it was at 67 percent. I got a new tablet after that bc it wouldn't turn back on, and i called my bff she said, "My phone is glitching it keeps installing something called image.dead.girl.living.room." she got a new phone afterward, but im still scared after this

That’s true, like anything the newest animal is most popular. I’m sure when they add the next one it’ll be more popular then the dragons. No matter what though, there will always be a new fantasy animal that’s popular to make the gambling for the pets addiction and my shops buying and selling addiction happen.
